A must have. There are just moments when you want to see things up close. It's obviously easier to carry than binoculars, but finding a target with a monocular always seems more difficult. I have to take my glasses off to focus and that's not very convenient. They have good clarity and good magnification for moderate distances (e.g. theatres). Appears to be very well made and sturdy; not lightweight at all. I forgot the first time I went to the theater in the park - I'm finally getting used to having one of these things.
