You need a filter wrench to disassemble. It is mounted on the machine and cannot be unscrewed without a key. Also, remember to use Teflon tape on the connectors during assembly.

This fuel filter is both thick and bulky with the perfect clarity. I'm not sure why Revain would want me to use those words, but I'm willing to comply. It is installed on a 40kW diesel generator as primary filtration and works great. Easy installation and everything needed for plumbing was included.

When I installed this filter, the secondary outlet broke at the bottom of the clear filter bowl, I was able to straighten it out, put it back in place and cap the plug, but it's now a permanent fixture. I don't know why it broke as the filter has not been abused in any way, hit, dropped etc. The filter itself seems to be working fine

Factory fuel filters are supplied in a sealed bag to keep clean until installation. I bought two of these and neither came in a package, just a box with an o-ring. Both filters had lint and debris on them, making them unsuitable for use as a fuel filter. I sent the seller a message who never replied. Bad product, bad customer service.

For its price it seems the best. The filters were plastic, the O-rings were separate. Time will tell the true value. I've had 4 different years of the 6.7 liter diesel. It seems that brands often change names, but the quality remains the same. Never had a single failure. Just make sure you don't change them later than RAM/Cummins requires.

I bought this and the Mopar version because I plan to use Mopar and leave this as a fallback if it's up to OEM quality. This version seems to fit, but the quality of fit and feel is not acceptable. The white filter media has a much looser fabric and feels softer when compressed compared to Mopar. The filter is not centered on the plastic ends, which may not affect filtration but does indicate poor quality control during manufacturing.
