Not worth the money for accuracy

As a hesitant buyer, I purchased this product hoping for an accurate measurement of light. Unfortunately, as a result of my tests, I determined that the readings were inconsistent and often incorrect. The one pro is that it is easy to use, but this is outweighed by its inaccuracies. As an Industrial and Scientific tool, I expected better performance.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Inconsistent, inaccurate readings

Great for my flashlight runtime test.

This is an excellent light meter for data collection. It's a little difficult to get started without reading the manual, but it has plenty of recording options, as well as very good battery life. I also like how the screen lights up. It runs on 6 AA batteries, but that's not a problem for me as I used rechargeable batteries.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Doubtful

Alternatives with useful logging of intensity and time data were 2-3 times more expensive. I'm satisfied so far. I've only had this device for 2 days, but it solved my problem of measuring changes in light intensity over time. This device can receive data for long periods of time in a wide range of time steps from 1 second to 60 minutes. There seems to be virtually no…
