Metal, not plastic!

Replaced the broken original plastic bracket on my boat with another plastic bracket which also broke. This is an exact replacement for the metal bracket and should last a very, very long time.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Some bugs

Works well with a 2.5 lb fire extinguisher

Almost scrap. Almost meets the basic requirement. Since it wasn't made in China, it gets an extra star. The price is also marginal. I could have bought it cheaper from a local store but I wanted to try this place.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Good but not great

Only fits four inch cylinders

I bought this mount because one of the questions said it would fit a 3 1/4 cylinder. It is not. This mount is designed for a four inch cylinder. There is no adjustment in the bracket, so be careful with the buyer.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • disappears

Kidde mount safe

Mount seems pretty sturdy. Fits a 2.5 lb fire extinguisher. Might work well if Revain ships it in the right box. Since it arrived bent, I am sending it back. Zoro has the same mount for half the price. Remember that not all fire extinguishers are created equal. Kidde and Amerex have minor differences that make braces not universal.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Communication with seller

It's way better than the crappy plastic mounts that Kidde includes.

This is so much better than the crappy plastic brackets Kidde puts in their little fire extinguishers, if you want a secure bracket that won't break after months of sitting without a problem then this is what you need. It has a rubber gasket to keep the mount from wobbling or wobbling as well.

Pros
  • Amazing
Cons
  • Not sure

Ideal for side roll cages.

Very good mount, much better than the plastic junk that comes with fire extinguishers. I used it to install a fire extinguisher on the side roll bar. I added an extra piece of Velcro (not pictured) for extra security in case it gets caught on a branch or something along the way. Additional Velcro is not required if you are installing indoors or in a workshop. An update is strongly recommended.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Don't remember

Perfect fit for my FA110G

I have a Kidde FA110G/FC110 that I carry in the car. The supplied plastic clamp broke. Thats much better. The silver-colored tether is attached to the black main bracket with a brass-colored rivet; This allows the tape to be rotated for transport. The main bracket has six mounting holes. I used four #10 1/4 wood screws to attach it to my car's plastic trim. The bracket kit is labeled "Durable Steel", Model Kidde MB15R, Kidde P/N 420118, UPC 047871201181 and "Meets DOT and USCG Approvals" so…

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Speed
