Fantastic toy, best for learning and studying

My 4 year old son and his 2 year old sister LOVE IT! We gave it to our 4 year old for Christmas and I have to say I'm very impressed. It's simple enough to use, but complex enough to keep you interested. Our 2 year old loves it too but is quick to play with the next toy. I would recommend this toy to any child interested in electronics or video games in general! I am very happy with my purchase!

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other toys

Leapfrog learning fun in the first PDA makes our grandson happy!

Our granddaughter loved the fenugreek she had as a child. So it made sense to look for leapfrog for the younger brother! Lots of great features! One of the best was the wired battery system! Our grandson loves having his own 'portable' play/learning system (Tricky Granny) which includes sight words, spelling practice and the introduction of 4 different ways to control selection or navigation. Even better than the Leapfrogs training systems for his sister! Expandable with modules!

Not worth the money if your child is familiar with iPad

For some reason my first review of this device was deleted without warning. People scored over 50 useful likes. Unfortunately, I feel like the company didn't like my review, which I think is fair. Conclusion: Avoid this device if your child is already familiar with the iPad. I bought it for my kids (4 and 5 years old) thinking they will enjoy this device. A little background: My kids are very good with iPad and love to play games on it. I was naive enough to think that if I gave them this…

Perfect for SN Baby! LOVE

Leapfrog has always been a hit with my kids but they outdid themselves with this one! I have a special needs child who will soon be 13 years old. Mentally she is 4-6 years old. Her motor and cognitive skills aren't the best, and because of everything that's happening to her, she can't figure out how to use another big brand or game controller. but LOVES to watch her father play and she pretends to play with him. This little gem was exactly what I was hoping and praying for! It has everything to

Ideal for teaching systems

I was very excited about this product when I stumbled across it while looking for another Leapfrog. I bought 2 for my girls (5 and 7 years old) in April but wanted to wait a bit before leaving a review. The product comes with a number of pre-installed games and I also purchased all of the individual game packs. There are two things I really like about this product. One is that purchased game packs can be loaded into multiple rockets, so you don't have to buy a separate game for each one…

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Great price

First review from someone who actually paid $ for it - not worth it!

It's not worth $50 at all. I am so disappointed. "Games" is incredibly simple and also very frustrating for me as the controls are not always responsive. The games are also not very educational. And they're pretty boring too. I hate to sound negative as I've been looking forward to this release and usually love Leapfrog, but I don't recommend buying it at all. The device even has ads/ads for additional content that you have to pay for - such bad taste! To be honest I haven't given it to my 4…

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • Dubious purchase for old people

DO NOT waste your money on this!

UPDATE: DO NOT BUY! THAT IS TRASH! Despite everything I LOVE about this product. Reviews about its durability, which is next to nothing, were accurate. My daughter had it within 24 hours and she loved it. But a fall from a short couch (about 18 inches) onto a carpeted floor and that picture is dead. The light blinks when you plug it in, but the screen and buttons stay off and there's no response to pressing the power button. It is VERY expensive for what it is in the first place but you would…

Fun, educational games, great payout

Arcade games include Albert Escape (problem solving), Gertie Jumping (sound/letters), a type of worm game where you eat numbers. Arcade games have three levels of difficulty. Then there is the practice area which contains a carnival game that works with numbers and counting, a spelling game and a sight/reading game. You also have three levels of difficulty. There's a seek and find playground, a timed game to see how many problems you can solve before the bunny shows up, and I think there's one…

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • No work
