good idea bad implementation

good idea bad implementation. Was excited to receive them. But just as quickly, I became disillusioned trying to use them. They appear to be thick steel, but bend on first use. Not the quality I'm used to from lisle.

Pros
  • GOLS certification
Cons
  • expensive

Great tool! for fuel system tools

Had trouble disconnecting the fuel line from the fuel rail on our 2007 Tahoe. These pliers helped push a 3/8 plastic disconnect tool (Lisle 37000 Fuel Line/A/C Disconnect Tool Kit) into the end of the fuel quick disconnect connector.

Pros
  • Best in the niche
Cons
  • Repair

Great fuel hose tool

I used this with a scissors tool to push in retaining clips. It worked very well. First press to release the clamps. Then use your other hand to apply pressure in the right direction to disconnect the fuel filter connector. A light push may be required to release the clip and then remove the filter rod.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons

Nothing fits.

Very well made but so far this item doesn't fit any line I wear it in. Two problems: the fork's pins are too close together to fit the tube between them, and when they do fit, the spacing between the forks is too far apart to clamp the spring tool. What's happening? I feel like my money was wasted. Nothing fits - every time I use it.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • So so

Sanity Saver for Fuel System Tools

I recently did some work on my 5.7 liter Hemi. I had a terrible time trying to remove the fuel line from the fuel rail. I had a good set of quick release tools and bought another to see if that would help. No matter what I did, I couldn't turn off the line. This tool allowed me to apply the necessary force to the QD tool and pull the line at the same time. After removing the pipe I looked at it and found that the inlet pipe was bent at the fuel rail. That's why I had so much trouble taking it…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Something different

Pliers for separating fuel, transmission and air conditioning

A strong tool that works well. Handy and ergonomic. For that reason alone, making the job easier is worth the price. When used with the deactivation tools mentioned in this tool description, it gets the job done. It even provides more leverage when the joints are corroded and difficult to disengage. Use a penetrating oil on corroded joints before using the tool to ensure a good job.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Ideal for disconnecting Bmw 323i power steering hoses.

Definitely a lot easier, safer and faster to disconnect power steering hoses from fittings without damaging any components in the process. ESpecial for vehicles with very narrow and limited extraction space. I still had to remove the headlight assembly for easier and more comprehensive access to the hoses and once the hoses were exposed the tool made it so easy to disconnect. Recommend this high quality and durable tool made in USA.

Pros
  • High tester ratings for support and durability
Cons
  • Some challenges

Worked like a charm for a stubborn PCV line

I was working on a 2015 Malibu LTZ with a 2.0L LTG engine The PCV hose that connects to the turbo is attached by a metal fitting which is bolted to the turbo itself. Wrenches will not fit due to corner mounting. I had to remove the fitting with an Allen screw and the clutch still wouldn't budge. I've tried many tools, different disconnects, etc., but these Lisle pliers and the white fuel line tool worked like magic. I've had stubborn plugs in the past that these pliers would help make…
