Super Easy Installation - Imagine!

First of all I ordered this router yesterday and it was at my doorstep at 1pm today. It's pretty cool. Second, I reviewed several Netgear products and was a bit concerned about ordering one since many of the reviews complained about Netgear's hardware, setup, and customer service. I'm not a modem master and only deal with them when necessary. The crappy flimsy router/modem we got from our ISP has been down for months. When I called our ISP they said they no longer sell them but rent them for $7

  • Certified
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than others

Works great for modems

Works great. This is my first wireless router and I am very happy with it. It was pretty easy to set up, but there were two issues that weren't hard to solve. The instructions said a genie would appear on the screen to help with setup, but it didn't appear so I restarted my laptop and as soon as it booted up the genie appeared. So don't despair if this happens to you, just reboot. The second problem was the password on the bottom of the modem/router, it was hard to decipher without a magnifying

AT&T dsl customer (copper wire) VERY SATISFIED!

I am an AT&T DSL customer (3 Mbit/s copper connection). I can only connect to them using the Motorola NVG510 modem they provide. I bought this NETGEAR AC1200 D6200 hoping for a better internet experience. I tried using it as a standalone modem router (that's how it's designed), but couldn't get it to connect to AT&T. I consider this a minor inconvenience. I went to YouTube and found that I could put my Motorola NVG510 in BRIDGE MODE and turn it into a modem (which I could then connect a NETGEAR

  • As always

Netgear FTW - Computers & Accessories

If you're looking for a good all-in-one solution rather than the hassle of buying a DSL modem and wireless router, this is it right for you. Not only is Netgear a great model (I've been using Netgear for many years), but this particular modem is powerful enough and ready for the future. You won't have to look for a replacement for a while because it's a gigabit cable. The wireless range is pretty good too, and even though it's in one corner of the house and I'm usually in the other, I get theโ€ฆ

Overall a good combination DSL modem WLAN router

This is a long-term test after 1 year of use. It just works and is generally reliable and dependable. It works well with Centurylink DSL and also works well as a wireless router with cable modems. Dual-band range and signal strength is good for many walls in multi-story environments. The initial setup and later editing of the settings is very easy. Works very well with a variety of devices including Windows 7, 8.1, Galaxy S5/S4, Windows Phone, Chromecast TV adapters, etc. I've deducted a starโ€ฆ

No Magic Beam - Networking Products

I purchased this product hoping to expand my network beyond what my Actiontec Wireless-N 300Mbps ADSL Modem Router (GT784WN) can provide. Do not go. So if you're buying it for the "beam" or extended range nonsense, don't waste your time. This is the hour of my life that I will not get back. And back to Revane she goes. Who cares, my father built an addition to a brick house many years ago - and there's a modem there. Well, to be honest, it's actually outside the brick house. But anyway, Iโ€ฆ

Will be great once up and running

Over the years I have owned, configured and serviced a dozen different brands of Wi-Fi routers. It has some really neat features that make it stand out. Reserving normally floating LAN addresses is cool. No need to assign fixed addresses from floating addresses. The only difficulty I have is that the wi-fi internet is not working. Support doesn't work either. I sent an email connected via wi-fi, registered on the map but no wi-fi internet, and gotten questions about the wired topology answered.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • A lot

Good range, good speed and stability - what more could you ask for?

I have three children and we each have several Wi-Fi devices, we also have printers, televisions, stereos, etc. that are connected to the Internet. My old router was simply overloaded. The new router is dual-band, allowing us to distribute connections across bands. It has the best range and coverage in this area. Permeability is quite good. We recently had a LAN party where eight of us played online games while the others watched Netflix and streamed YouTube. It was pretty easy to set up. Theโ€ฆ

SLOW as a glacier! best of modems

I was tempted to buy this expensive $149 DSL modem because it advertised fast 802.11ac wireless speeds. But it was about 50% slower than my 2 year old and less expensive $69 Netgear 300N modem, which only supports 802.11n. So Netgear is essentially forcing me to ditch that expensive "modern" DSL modem and go back to my old and much cheaper Netgear 300N DSL modem! I reconnected my old 300N modem tonight to see if it's significantly faster than the AC1200 (6200) modem and it really is!

Pros
  • Very good value
Cons
  • Poor instructions
