I am an AT&T DSL customer (3 Mbit/s copper connection). I can only connect to them using the Motorola NVG510 modem they provide. I bought this NETGEAR AC1200 D6200 hoping for a better internet experience. I tried using it as a standalone modem router (that's how it's designed), but couldn't get it to connect to AT&T. I consider this a minor inconvenience. I went to YouTube and found that I could put my Motorola NVG510 in BRIDGE MODE and turn it into a modem (which I could then connect a NETGEAR AC1200 D6200 to to enjoy its amazing features. On YouTube I found "AT&T U-Verse Motorola NVG510 Bridge Mode Setup" by rhardoon. It's a 6.5 minute video and it's not difficult. The NETGEAR modem SETUP WIZARD quickly did the rest of the installation process. I'm thrilled with NETGEAR AC1200 D6200 dsl modem router Highly recommend.
