Perfect Double Expander

I have to say this was a smart purchase as this tool made perfect double expanders on my 1996 Chevrolet S-10 with a 3/16 brake line. I bought a 25ft reel, 3/16 brake line, fittings and a flare to replace the rusty portion of the line. Cut out the bad and widen the existing line that was still solid and rust free on my truck. Fittings are cut and installed, then the replacement line is flared. I was looking at an Eastwood tool that was three times the price of this OEM tool. I'm glad I chose…

This tool expands better than the traditional rod/yoke type

This tool expands better than the traditional rod/yoke type. I've done two practice blitzes and both have been better than anything I've ever done before. The instructions on the packaging aren't very clear, so I suggest watching some online videos. Pay particular attention to the number of tubes that extend beyond the face of the clamp. I also suggest lubricating the threads in the swage as well as the tapered portion of the adapter where the swage meets the adapter and the end of the pipe…

Great tool for most US/Asia brake work.

If you just need a tool for the reverse/double flare on the 3/16 line that is most common on US and Asian vehicles, get this tool. It's cheaper than cheap and cheaply made rod clamp kits that make half a dozen line sizes you'll never need and easier to use. Because it's more compact, it fits in places where it can't. So if like me you are replacing rusted coated brake line ends you can easily do it in place without removing the lines. My only advice is to double check. that you are screwing in…
