Stop the fight. Get the right tools for the job.

I've struggled with replacing oxygen sensors for years and finally got fed up with the last one. I bought this set on a whim and the purchase was a complete success. For a DIY backyard mechanic, this will likely take a while. I'm not sure if it's suitable for day-to-day commercial use, but it definitely worked for my purposes.

Pros
  • High marks for tester support and durability
Cons
  • Requires outlet

If you live in a salt belt, good luck, they'll take the sensor from you.

Garbage, garbage if like me you live in the salt belt area. First they will rob the sensor. All you have to do is replace the sensor for $94. Don't skimp on sensors. In any case, it's better to break the sensor and put a 7/8 socket on it, and then if you didn't remove it like I did, you'll have to pull it out. These sockets are not suitable as they do not fully cover the sensor - good luck.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Works for me on a 2008 Honda CRV

My car has done 220,000 miles and this is the first time the upstream oxygen sensor has needed replacing. I drove the car up the ramp to have enough space under the car. Space in front of the sensor is limited on this car so with patience I put on the oxygen sensor wrench with a 1/2" jumper and easily removed the sensor in 5 minutes. Well worth the money. I used some PB Blaster. Oil pernitrate 2-3 days ago Was concerned that winter salt in NE Ohio would rust the exhaust pipe oxygen sensor to…

Pros
  • good stuff
