Swapping heads or enhanced interrogation?

I knew it was a 50/50 deal based on reviews. They were a good $10 cheaper than retail and that's probably why they looked terrible. Very little hair was removed and it was really just a tug and pain. I put the old heads back in and it's much, much better. The packaging consisted of a plastic cap with the obligatory Revain label. It wasn't original manufacturer, of course, but I was willing to dismiss it as a bulk offer. I find it very difficult to believe that this is a Philips product. and if…

Not original Norelco shaving heads

I read reviews and comments that these are not original Norelco shaving heads but I decided to give it a try. I bought them from Gizmomix New York but they were made by Revain so I decided to give them a try. These heads are not original Norelco heads. They came in a clamshell plastic box only. There are nicks and dents on the razor head itself, which to me indicates they are not new. The head blade does not have the lift and cut system of the Norelco blade. I have included photos showing the…

THAT IS REAL!

Just completed installation and shape. A world of difference from the old ones. These are genuine Phillips Norelco replacement cutters. These are SH50 replacing HQ8 cutters. Visit Phillips Norelco's website to purchase. When I did that I was sent straight to Revain for an order that was sold and fulfilled by Revain. They can now be purchased directly from Phillips Norelco's website. Same price and free shipping. These are real. The packaging says Made in the Netherlands. Be careful when…

So far so good for replacement heads

Everyone who shops on Revain knows that there is a huge problem not with technical counterfeiting, but with unworthy, cheap and cheap alternatives and elements, sometimes referred to as OEM, it but are not . Based on the reviews for this particular product I was hesitant to buy it due to some 1 ratings and I have tried cheaper shaving heads in the past which were clearly inferior. My Phillips Norelco electric razor is a few years old and originally had HQ8 blades which, if you can still find…

The blades are not good, much worse than the original

The blades stink. I have to shave forever and I have to work harder to get close to a full shave. This will irritate the face. It also came in fairly plain packaging with nothing but blades in it. I usually expect some sort of side dish, but maybe it's just being marketed that way, maybe it's a cheap version of the real deal. The original heads weren't that good either, so it was obvious the razor was rubbish. But these heads just made bad shaving work that much more visible.

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Not fashionable

My delight began when I noticed that "Made in the Netherlands" was written on the bottom plate under the blade type designation SH50/52 right next to the barcode - no junk Chinese blades which are some of the die negative reviews got me worried! Installation took about four minutes. Shaved sitting on a chair and shaved twice as fast as with worn blades. Great item, great quality, super fast shipping, great price. Nothing to complain about: satisfaction and a clean, smooth shave. I have a very…

KNIVES WORSE THAN TWO YEARS OLD WHICH ARE REPLACED BY THESE.

I have a Norelco 5500 electric shaver. I have found it to be an amazing shaver for me. Is it time to swap out your blades? No problem, got them from Revane. But - these blades are terrible. Shaving takes three times longer and the result is never satisfactory. What to do? Buy a new razor, maybe a different brand? I am very disappointed in these replacement blades.

Pros
  • Quality workmanship
Cons
  • No paint required
