Zero stars, POS, couldn't annoy me anymore

Absolute waste of time. On the first device, the LCD didn't work, the CD player wouldn't open, and one of the speakers was already shot through. I returned it only to find the replacement had the same issues, except both speakers actually worked this time. I'm not giving them a third chance. Two failed devices in a row doesn't bode well for the longevity of this product, even though it worked from the start. I read other reviews like this before buying warning to stay away and I'd love to…

Bought as a gift the best in Turntables

I ordered this item in October 2013 as a Christmas present. I turned the radio on once to test the sound, static like all radios before turning it on, but I didn't test the speaker quality with a CD or cassette. The speakers were bad, static all the time. Sounds like an ancient system. I have friends who have similar things and they work well. I cannot return or replace the product because the return period has expired. Now I'm stuck with a broken product until I find someone who can replace or

I really like my stereo in turntables

I really like my monoblock stereo. He plays everything I need. Haven't tried recording on it yet, but if it works as well as it plays there shouldn't be a problem. We hooked up this stereo for our surround sound, but the unit's speakers seem to work well too. My vinyl plays great and cassettes work well, although I wish it had more buttons for the tape player. Playing CDs and I can play from memory cards. I only gave the stereo 4 stars because it doesn't read all the data from a full memory…

Even better with convertible components

So I decided to encode some old vinyl records and tapes to MP3 format with this versatile system. I was expecting limited audio quality, but good enough for a 256 byte encoder to make it acceptable after moving it to a flash drive. First, the CD door wouldn't open, and based on the $30 return shipping fee and my cost of sending it back to the factory, I would expect to spend another $40-50 just to fix the door. NOT WORTH. I guess I have to live without the CD. Then of course the second…

A piece of junk. - Home audio

So the only reason I bought this thing was because it claims to be a one stop home audio solution. The problem is that some features were ready to use right out of the box. I originally intended to use it as the centerpiece of a new budget audio system; mostly so I can start listening to vinyl albums. To be fair, the player and radio functions work perfectly and I was too focused on playing my records to try the CD/MP3 function before it was too late. So one day I decided to listen to an old CD

Very happy with the turntables

I was very happy with the Pyle PTCDS5U stereo system. It did everything I wanted, playing music from my flash drives, micro SD cards, cassettes, LPs, CDs and AM/FM radio. I really don't understand people's bad reviews because they are not satisfied with the sound of the internal speaker. If you need better sound, simply connect this device to external speakers. I don't see anything special. I'm just glad I can finally play all my music media in one small compact device instead of separate…

Simple but effective and attractive

So far I am very happy with this purchase. Despite the small internal speakers, the volume and sound quality is more than enough to fill our two-bedroom apartment and probably annoy the upstairs neighbors at times. It's no drummer and lacks the fullness an audiophile would want, but for the money and size it does the trick. If you wanted an all-in-one system, you wouldn't be looking at this happy little thing, you wouldn't be looking at Sony or Jensen building a rack system piece by piece. My…

Good value for money

After looking at many options for turntable all in ones I finally settled on the Pyle Vintage PTCDS5U and I have to say that overall I love it I'm quite happy with the money I spent. As I ordered the product for delivery to India I had to pay a significant additional cost for shipping and customs but it is well worth it. As you'd expect for the price, the controls feel fairly flimsy and you have to be careful when using the sliders to switch between Phono-Band Radio-CD modes. The quality of the
