It really works! on my review.

It was pretty easy for my 8 year old to understand how to put it together. He did need my help with it physically putting some of the pieces together because he needed more strength. He has played with it every day (inside the house and outside on the driveway) and it's still going strong. He even puts small stuffed animals on it and the "search for aliens"! The solar power works and you can add 2 AA batteries if you don't have enough sun where you live.

Pros
  • This is a awesome gift for kids, easy to operate
Cons
  • The product may not be challenging enough for children who are already familiar with STEM concepts

Requires adult assistance

This product says 6-12 yrs, but realistically, you need an adult involved in each step, if only because the instructions are extremely vague. "Mounting the reducer into the box" is step 1. There are pictures, but they're not color coded or exact to specifications, so unless you are familiar with these types of projects, it'll be a little difficult to determine what goes where. Also, most of the pieces come from a single plastic mold sheet and require punching out as well as carefully trimming…

Pros
  • Awesome STEM product! My daughter loves space and this was really fun to do and watch it crawl around.
Cons
  • The product may be too expensive for some families to afford

Fun activity to do with Dad

[Written by 13 year old]I received this as a gift and was super excited to put it together! I was able to put it together and did most of the work myself but I did need some help from my dad as the instructions were a bit confusing in some places. When we first finished it didn't work. My dad suggested maybe the gears were locked up so we took it back apart through some of the steps and loosened up the motor pieces and it started working. I guess I pushed it together too hard.It was very…

Pros
  • Great gift, for older kids. Great project to do during this pandemic.
Cons
  • Some children may not be interested in the subject matter of the toy

Good toy, assembly is challenging for some adults.

Pretty cool toy! But not for the assembly part. I don't know many 8-10 year olds that would be able to put this together. I'm a mechanic and it took me 3 hours to assemble because the instructions are strait from IKEAs rule book.

Pros
  • This is a STEM toy that may require help from a guardian but can be a fun, bonding experience.
Cons
  • The product may not be customizable enough to satisfy children who enjoy personalizing their toys

Defective piece for my opinion

It’s a defective piece, I ordered it for my son,but we are not happy because even it’s not assembled by us. That's my feedback.

Pros
  • Learning & Education
Cons
  • The product may be too difficult to disassemble, making it difficult to reuse or recycle

Keeps the kids busy!

My son is a bit of a tech child. He loves all these types of toys. He is 7yrs old and had no issue putting this together. It was a great buy. I'm going to grab a couple more to give away as gifts.

Pros
  • What a great project for the youngsters!!
Cons
  • The product may not be versatile enough to hold a child's attention for long periods of time

Highly Recommend for my opinion

Great educational yet fun toy for kids. My 10 year old received this as a gift and absolutely loved building it and then playing with it. Strongly recommend!

Pros
  • The Selieve STEM Toys Projects for Kids Ages 8-12 is a perfect gift for curious and inquisitive children who love to learn
Cons
  • The vehicle assembly may be tedious or time-consuming, reducing the excitement of the project

Straight from a nine-year-old

Likes:• battery/solar power so no need to worry about a dead battery when the sun is out.• cool looking• adjustable wheel placement and bodyDislikes:• too many pieces to build• only moves one direction• fragileIf someone asked me to buy this, I would tell them to get it if you’re a good builder.

Pros
  • A bit hard to put together but very fun.
Cons
  • The product may not work properly once assembled

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This is good and have kids more concentrated.

This is really a good staff and burn my son’s head. But also it’s nice that he can pay more time and focus on this. When the assemble I finished he do enjoy it. Solar is nice and clean power instead of replace the batteries all the time. The instruction is good as well.

Pros
  • He really liked it!!!
Cons
  • The product may not be suitable for groups of children due to limited parts and pieces

Doesn't run in my review

Assembly required parent. Took some time because the instructions weren't clear. When complete, it wouldn't run neither with the AA battery nor solar. Disappointed. Toy discarded once assembled.

Pros
  • Easy to assemble
Cons
  • The product may be too loud or distracting to use in certain settings

BOUGHT 2 - NEITHER WORKED!

I BOUGHT 2 OF THESE AND NEITHER ONE WORKED. PEICE OF JUNK. 30 DAY RETURN WINDOW EXPIRED. IT WAS A GIFT AND THEY DIDN'T BUILD IT FOR A MONTH. NUMEROUS REVIEWS SAYING IT NEVER WORKED!

Pros
  • The DIY Solar Climbing Vehicle Motor Car is an excellent way to teach children about the benefits of solar power and renewable energy
Cons
  • The vehicle may be too complicated for parents to understand, making it difficult to help children with assembly or repairs

Great quality good for me

This one is very similar to Tamiya’s Wheel Walker. It has a larger solar plate on top but price is less than half of it. My son uses a bit less than 2 hours with almost no help to assemble it. The quality is pretty good and he has lots of fun. Btw, he is 12 yr old.

Pros
  • My grandson loved it!
Cons
  • The project may take too long to assemble, causing children to lose interest

Waste of Money! in my review

The toy instructions were not good at all. Therefor, not a good kid friendly toy, not to mention that my daughter is 9 years old. The toy is poorly made. Once built, pieces will easily fall off. Definitely not worth the money. It was supposed to be a fun activity and it turned into a very stressful process. WASTE OF MONEY

Pros
  • Mantiene al niño ocupado en una interesante y educativa actividad fue un regalo
Cons
  • The product may not be engaging enough to inspire children to pursue STEM careers

Easy to assemble in my review

It’s easy to assemble. This was a gift to my 10 y/o(who doesn’t like assembling) and was happy with his work. Thanks for attention!

Pros
  • Solar Power Kits
Cons
  • The vehicle may be too big or bulky to store easily

Good educational toy for boys

My 8 year old son was excited to build this solar car all by himself. It has over hundred pieces that kept him concentrated for hours. This solar vehicle can run on rugs and hardwood floors as well as climbing obstacles. Good DIY project for young boys.

Pros
  • Great gift to do with your kids. Children enjoyed building something so cool.
Cons
  • The materials used in the product may be of poor quality

Good gift for children that are builders.

I purchased this as a gift for my autistic son’s 12th birthday as he enjoys putting things together and also loves cars, so he got two in one lol.Usually we leave him to it and he comes back within an hour with the project completed. I have 4 stars because the directions were unclear and our boy had to solicit dad’s assistance. They had a great time putting it together and will continue enjoying it I’m sure.

Pros
  • Selieve
Cons
  • The product may not offer enough variety or options for children to experiment with different building configurations

Great educational toy

My son received this as a gift and loves it. Excellent product, well made. Great for education. Works very well. The solar panels may not be powerful enough to move the vehicle efficiently!

Pros
  • Perfect Gifts Toys for Kids: It is very suitable for children who are interested in science engineering mechanics, vehicle model making and solar power. Children can freely play indoors and outdoors. Excellent DIY building toys for kids teens students.Great STEM space gifts for birthday, Children's Day, Christmas, Easter, summer camp activities, back to school.
Cons
  • The solar panels may not be powerful enough to move the vehicle efficiently

Broken Track: my feedback

The plastic track broke . I'm pretty dissatisfied. I got it for my sister and she was gentle but it fell apart. Now it cant do everything it should.

Pros
  • The Selieve STEM Toys Projects for Kids Ages 8-12 is an excellent way to encourage kids to express their creativity and imagination
Cons
  • The vehicle may not be suitable for children who prefer more traditional or low-tech toys

Fun toy with real working solar panel

My 7 year old and my 13 year old had a fun time putting this Mars Rover together. They really liked the solar power option and the motor is switchable between battery power and solar power which is nice for when it is not sunny out. On solar, it will only work in direct light as expected. I think it is a very nice STEM gift for any young child who likes space or solar power. Would recommend purchasing again!

Pros
  • The DIY Solar Climbing Vehicle Motor Car encourages children to think outside the box and come up with creative solutions to challenges
Cons
  • The vehicle may not be as versatile as other STEM toys on the market

Great gift for my opinion

Gave this to my nephew for Christmas . He loved it . He enjoys building things and this was perfect for him (he’s in 4th grade ) . Definetley would recommend as a gift , or just to keep little hands busy .

Pros
  • he loved it
Cons
  • The product may not promote critical thinking, problem-solving, or creativity as effectively as other STEM toys
