I was surprised by the quality for the price.

Interesting lens. At aperture 1.2, it's pretty sharp, and if you cover it up, it's just incredibly sharp. On the open chromate, beautifully blurs the background, in the defocus zone there is almost no chromate. Pretty strong vignetting, well, the weight is 1 kg. For studio shooting, nothing else, but I donโ€™t take it with me on the road. Replaces 55 f/1.8 at 1.2 in APS-C mode. I think to change to 35 1.4 GM, since the latter is 2 times lighter.

Pros
  • Aperture, contrast, sharpness
Cons
  • Weight, no aperture ring lock

Wonderful quality, one hundred percent satisfied!

This is the best 35mm lens I have ever owned. I use it 95% of the time. 100% worth the money. I was completely delighted with this glass. The last time I had the same impressions was only Summilux 50 1.4, but this is a completely different price range. I use the version from L-mount to Leica SL When using the aperture ring, the step is 0.1 ( 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 1.5 etc) With its pros. -35mm is the perfect focal length! - Lens for every day -High resolution across the entire field of the frameโ€ฆ

Quite good, but I expected more from it.

I didnโ€™t like the implementation of manually setting the aperture value with a ring on the lens, when focusing manually, the aperture value often goes astray, regardless of whether the ratchet on the aperture ring is on or not, the carcass is small, the lens is huge, holding the camera with such a lens is quite difficult.

Pros
  • Light, sharp on an open hole.
Cons
  • Weight, size.

Best option for LUMIX S1

I actually bought this in a store but I liked it so much that I came here and did a review for potential buyers! . I mainly shoot video and use either manual focus or the back button for quick auto-adjust, so it's almost perfect for my needs. This is probably my favorite lens I've ever used. This lens delivers insane sharpness even wide open and it's such a joy to use in low light! The only thing missing is image stabilization, but that shouldn't be a deal breaker by any means. Just like theโ€ฆ

Fantastic optics. Huge 35mm lens

Shown is a Sigma 35mm 1.2 on an A7RII. Next to it is a Zeiss Batis 18. So yes, it's huge for a 35mm lens. Autofocus is fast and accurate, and works well with Eye AF. Soft bokeh as you would expect from a 35mm focal length. The sharpness is just amazing, especially in the center at f1.2. With the exception of landscapes at infinity with detail across the frame to the corners, the only reason to ever stop this lens is to control depth of field. Any f-stop from f/1.2 to f/16 is more than sharpโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Camera and photo
Cons
  • Periodicity

This lens is amazing! This is by far my favorite lens out of all my lenses! I use Sigma 16mm F1.4, G Master 24-70mm, Zeiss 55mm and Zeiss 16-35mm lenses and although this 35mm F1.2 lens is the biggest and heaviest of them all, I always take it with me! (Although this lens is heavy and large, I noticed that the weight is evenly distributed so it's not very heavy to lift. I'm not very strong and hated using the G-Master lens because the whole Weight at the very end after that is After about 10โ€ฆ
