Used but surprised the speaker is dented. That works fine. As stated in the sales advertisement, the remote control is not included in the scope of delivery.

As with the other reviewer, the CD player's reliability steadily decreased shortly after the warranty expired. I put a CD in and had trouble starting, spinning and spinning until the CD started. It got worse and worse over time until it finally became completely unreliable. Stay away from it.

I have owned this Radio/CD/Cassette Recorder for a number of years now. For several years he no longer played CDs reliably. As of today, the volume control no longer works. I was looking for a cheap ghettoblaster for the office and really didn't want to spend a lot of money. I was looking for a boombox with: CD, AM/FM radio (digital tuning) and cassette player. I originally bought the Sylvania SRCD4400 for $39 + tax. But I returned it quickly and paid an extra $20 for the Sony Boombox and I love it. The boombox design is elegant and easy to use. I purchased this system in December 2004 from Wal-Mart. It is very handy and fits perfectly on the folding table I have in my room. It's fully portable and unlike other systems that are best suited to a bookshelf or not being carried around very often. The sound quality of the CD is also excellent.
