Fun to build and satisfying to watch gears moving

Very educational, had fun assembling with my son. I gave 4 stars because solar panel didn't work but we used batteries to see gears moving and understanding the mechanics. I am happy but would have great if solar panel works. I would recommend this product

Pros
  • perfect gift for a young boy with help from dad.
Cons
  • Instructions are difficult to follow

Cool robot: my feedback

Got this for 8yo and they needed a lot of help to setup and build. All of the pieces need to be cut out of plastic forms and that takes time and patience. The solar panel needs very direct sunlight to work well or a very bright light bulb. Once we figured out all of the things it needed it was very cool to complete this build together.

Pros
  • Builds confidence and self-esteem
Cons
  • Lack of interesting features

Keeps children thinking and inventing.

I purchased this product for my grandsons’ Christmas . One is 7 the other 9. They’ve spent many hours playing and building different robotic contraptions with the set.

Pros
  • Educational and Creative Toy: It is a nice STEM robot kit to inspire kid's imagination and creativity, from simple to complex levels, exercising your kid's problem solving and hands-on ability. Makes the perfect parents and children team project. Enrich your child’s mind with the interactive challenges of building their own robots!
Cons
  • Not exciting enough for adventurous kids

Good value, fun STEM activity.

Great Christmas gift. Our daughter had a goog time putting it together. She let her older brother help on some of the more complex assembly steps. Fun set.

Pros
  • My Grandson loves building! It’s a great toy!
Cons
  • Lacks versatility

This is a fun creative project for a child who enjoys building and tinkering. It’s very involved though, so be prepared to set aside plenty of time to build it.

Pros
  • Solar Power Kits
Cons

Cons
  • Not enough instructions for modifications

Great STEM TOY lots over fun over time

some toys the kid just does the one thing with it and that's it and it gets trashed. this one has lots of "replayability" endless fun and learning putting it together and taking it apart over and over even fun for parents to build with their kids. again endless opportunity

Pros
  • Not alot of pieces for the money it seems small for the price
Cons
  • Limited educational value

It's a gift.: my feedback

I cannot leave a review other than it will be a gift. I will give feedback once I know how the recipient feels about it. Thanks for attention.

Pros
  • Teaches children about circuitry and electrical systems
Cons
  • Cheaply made solar panels

Pretty advanced little project.

I bought this for my grandson who was in elementary school and it was way too advanced for him. My 24 year old son ended up putting it together and had fun doing it.

Pros
  • Working by Solar Power Engine: Engineering toys cover a wide range of educational subjects and put a strong emphasis on child's overall development. Future engineers will have endless fun building, rebuilding, and learning about solar power, enable children use their infinite imagination to to complete assembly and enjoy countless of hours of fun.
Cons
  • No support for modifications

100% would buy again!

This product was amazing! My boys who usually have short attention spans were very invested in this item. It has helped them discover their love for mechanics, assembly and science! Very STEM and family friendly! I don’t have a picture because my boys have hidden it from me lol!

Pros
  • Gives children a sense of achievement and accomplishment
Cons
  • Not as interactive as other STEM toys

Didn't quite fit together

This product is beautifully put together with quality products, however, the pieces did not quite fit together to make it work. After working at it and thinking that mistakes were made in assembly, the conclusion is that a few pieces were too short to work.

Pros
  • 11.07 x 7.1 x 2.65 inches
Cons
  • Requires constant adjustment

Do Not Buy: my feedback

Product does not work. 11 year old grandson tried repeatedly. Mechanical engineer grandpa got involved. Transmission poorly built, unable to get to work after repeated tries. Good concept, poor product. Do not suggest purchasing.

Pros

Cons
  • Overpriced for the quality

My nephew loved it: my feedback

I bought this as a gift for my 10 year old nephew. It was challenging for him but he was able to complete it and thought it was really cool.

Pros
  • Includes detailed instructions with easy-to-follow diagrams
Cons
  • Limited educational instructions

Didn't work in my review

Gave this to my 8yr old as a gift. It was a great time, spending time together and putting this together. Unfortunately, our robot didn't work. We left it in the sun for a couple of days and still nothing. I examined the instructions over and over to make sure it was nothing we did wrong. Sure enough, in the end, we had a robot that looked cool, but didn't do anything. He was extremely bummed and lost interest after it just sat there. It wasn't hard to put together but the tires were extremely…

Pros
  • Provides a break from screen time and encourages physical activity
Cons
  • Limited opportunities for collaboration

Good STEM toy - my new review

The toy is good. Solar panel works. All the parts comes attached to each other. Lot of initial time need to be spent for separating out all the pieces. Once the initial segregation is done it is easy to setup with adult help.My 6 yr old could not do on this own.

Pros
  • Encourages creativity and imagination
Cons
  • Easy to lose pieces

The assembly instructions were vague, and the assembly is complex, took hours for my 9 year old grandson and his father to assemble.Once it was ready, the toy behaves as advertised, a simple solar gadget, which my grandson was tired of quickly. He did learn from the assembly, and the solar power does work. For Christmas I spent a lot more and bought a larger more interactive toy.

Pros
  • It was a lot more to put together than anticipated
Cons
  • Batteries not included
