This product requires a hot applicator

It doesn't say anywhere but when I received it it's like water. Read the fine print you must apply and then heat the items. up to a certain temperature, around 200% - now do I need a heat gun and infrared thermometer to use this?

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • I don't remember but something was

Great alternative to Rocksett

Good stuff. I love Vibra-Tite products and they live up to that reputation. The following factors led me to take a chance here: 1. My experience with other Vibra-Tite products.2. The fact that it is prime law.3. Some Amazon reviewers have reported receiving fake Rocksett. After seeing that Hot Lock withstands stress tests, I will use it in the future.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Will be added later

THIS IS A HIGH TEMPERATURE THREADED LOCK

I USED THIS ON THE AR-15 MUZZLE BRAKE - I DIDN'T SHOOT IT LONG ENOUGH TO BE SURE IT WILL OR NOT VIBRATE. ALSO DISSOLVE THE FIXING FILTER TO RELEASE THE STANDARD TEMP THREAD LOCKER FIXING FILTER. WHAT'S THE POINT TO USE A THREAD-LOCKING WHEN IT JUST TAKES A KEG TO HEAT, BREAK THE THREAD-LOCKING. PLAY AT HIGH TEMPERATURE IF THERE IS ANY CHANCE OUR KEG WILL GET HOT!

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Something else

This stuff gets harder and stronger than the metal it was used on! I guess I didn't know that you have to bake this at 250ยฐ for a few minutes to activate it. A heat gun may or may not work, but if you don't have one, you'll have to put it in the oven! Just be ready to bake for 5-10 minutes. After that it's almost constant, heat doesn't bother him.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • I have no negative feelings about it, it's just good

Best solution for silencer muzzle devices

Easy to use for mounting muzzle devices on the silencer body. Simply time on your device with spacers, then unplug your device, apply to threads, re-time your device, then use heat from a heat gun or torch until the excess turns white. I use the heat gun on low for about 5 minutes. Let it steep for at least 24 hours. At this point, your suppressor or flash will erupt long before your muzzle device moves.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Some disadvantages

Similar to Rocksett in that you heat it up after installation. I only used a drop of this on the SilencerCo ASR to Suppressor Body as I didn't want to make it impossible to remove later if needed. I used to unscrew the two pieces when removing the canister from the rifle, but after adding Hot Lock after a long weekend of shooting, that wasn't a problem. The temperature range is excellent when working with muzzle brakes, flash hiders and silencers.

Pros
  • nice thing
Cons
  • replacement availability

Yes. Doesn't work

I've used this for Form 1 muffler end caps and it seems to work as well as spitting. Follow directions through T, preheat oven to 250, allow to bake for about 15 minutes (to 1.5" diameter), allow to cool for a few hours and end cap will pop right out. I decided to preheat the muffler itself (not just the oven) to 250 and then bake for 12-13 minutes. I fired a few rounds and the silencer came off the cap leaving the cap on the barrel. Unless I missed something in the fine print. That does notโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • I won't tell
