I Like My Quirky Vivitar

Received earlier than I thought! The Vivitar cameras are fine. I like it because it's quirky and I wanted to try it. You can take good photos with it. You just need a little patience.

Pros
  • Quick replacement
Cons
  • sad packaging

Not bad for the price

works great, relatively cheap. Not the best product but I got what I paid for and what I expected. Also, my daughter dropped it in the Wisconsin snow and it stayed there for a day and it still worked fine.

Pros
  • nice thing
Cons
  • disappears

Not worth it, even at this price.

Extremely cheap. Batteries burn out very quickly - in less than a day. I'm not sure how the 16-megapixel camera takes clamshell-phone-quality photos, but that's what you get here. It works just like the digital cameras they sold at Walgreens in 2003.

Pros
  • Brilliantly made
Cons
  • Can hurt

No battery life with Point & Shoot digital cameras

Despite negative reviews, I usually try the product anyway. For that I had to listen. Each set of batteries allows about 3 shots and will run out, even very expensive batteries. There was nothing wrong with how it looked. Features were easy. There was no way to continue it further. The cheap price was a cheap product.

Pros
  • Not only usable for the intended purpose
Cons
  • There are defects

Not suitable for Point & Shoot digital cameras

Purchased in October 2020 as a Christmas present for my granddaughter. Until yesterday she never told me she wasn't working properly. She always gets the message that he needs batteries and when she puts them in she still gets the same message. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone and I'm disappointed that I can't get an exchange because too much time has passed.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Doubtful

Ok I was thinking about digital cameras

I bought this camera 4 weeks ago and haven't been able to use it for 4 weeks. Why? Because it doesn't turn on. I used 3 different packs of new AAA batteries and this camera will not turn on. I contacted Vivitar this morning because I won't be changing the batteries anymore and it's under warranty. I received an email from Nick at Sakar International with instructions on how to reset my camera. OK, I thought. I'm joking and going through a vicious cycle of changing the batteries again, checking…

Pros
  • Always liked
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Very cheaply made, don't let the pictures fool you.

I bought this for my son and am very disappointed. The photos are pretty bad but I guess for the price it's to be expected. My real complaint is that the camera is cheaply made. Based on the pictures and specs on the websites you would expect this to be a pretty well built camera, like most Vivitars, but no, this thing is in about the same league as a $35 toy camera. It may look like a real compact camera, but when you hold it in your hands you immediately realize that this is just a toy…

Pros
  • Done
Cons
  • Some problems
