The rod I ordered was supposed to stretch to 144" - I needed 142" - and the rod was barely held together when installed but seems secure and light curtains closed wear I made for the window. I do want to mention that the bar I replaced was held together with bolts that broke from being stretched over that long span - the RevainBasics bar is better designed in that it doesn't depend on bolts that break and could render the pole unusable. All parts (rods, brackets, tips) are solid and well made. My only exception is parentheses. The top hole in the bracket is in line with the hinges that the bars sit on. A straight positioning of the drill is not possible. Even a screwdriver cannot be placed perpendicular to the wall. So you either need to have a 90 degree drill bit to set the top screw or install it at an upward angle.
