Works Every Time!: Clutches & Parts

Works great when installing dual clutches. You don't need a metal alignment tool if you take the time and visually center the clutch disc with this tool.

Pros
  • Restore Feature - Get the job done first time with the right tool
Cons
  • Modern

It's better to buy a metal if you can find it.

These parts do not fit perfectly, do not expect more than they are. Make sure the weight of your clutch disc is not hanging on it while tightening the bolts. Make sure you press this tool firmly and centered as you push the screws down. Works fine if you do this, but no promises.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Some cons

Don't waste your time with this.

Seems to fit well but doesn't. The gear did not fit in the pilot bearing and was slightly offset. I had to watch it and try again and again. I was exhausted when he came in. This tool is complete crap. Specialists use the old gearbox input shaft for this. I suggest doing the same if there isn't a better quality steel tool somewhere on the market.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks

It works fine for clutch and parts

Used this on my 86 Camaro with T5 Trans. It works but you need to be sure it is 100% clear between the clutch and guide bush and moved with very little resistance. Being plastic and not very tight, this part has some warping and allows the two parts to move a bit. Make sure it slides in and out freely after tightening the pressure plate and you shouldn't have any problems.

Pros
  • good thing
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something
