Ethermon : A Digital Collectible Game

Ethermon is a decentralized application built on the Ethereum network. Ethermon creates a world of monsters where you can capture, train, transform, and trade them with others. Combining Blockchain technology and virtual reality, Etheremon offers users an unprecedented gaming experience. It will be the first video game world where you have assets that no one can influence or steal from you and see them work like in the real world.

If you are planning to play Etheremon, the first thing you need to know is that the game can cost very quickly. Each transaction costs around $ 0.23 ETH to write to the Ethereum blockchain. Although it is not a lot of money, it accumulates over time. If you play Ethermon continuously, you can easily burn $ 10 in an hour or two just with the gas costs.

Pros
  • Players can also sell their cards and recover their "investment" in the game when they exit. They may even be able to make a profit by doing this.
  • In a digital collectible game, players retain most of the benefits that come from a paper collectible game. The developer cannot delete characters or equipment.
  • And if the business goes bankrupt, players still have their in-game assets. Therefore, those assets may be used in a future version of the game created by another developer, or in a different game.
Cons
  • The game is slow. Most transactions take at least fifteen seconds to process. And after processing, you need to click on force synchronization on the Ethermon website to get the page update. It can be very annoying and irritating.
