SureRemit project look good and solid although the token price is much lower now. There are over 250 million immigrants across the world sending over $600bn every year. If they were a country, they will be the 5th largest in the world. The remittance community and economy is one of the most vibrant and productive, and millions of people across the world depend on migrants for survival. Over 40% of remittances are intended to support friends and family with basic needs like food, clothing, medicine and utility bill payments. However, the process of transferring value across borders to achieve these purposes are needlessly difficult and expensive.

SureRemit goes Global! campaign has now ended! During the past weeks, they added over 25 new countries and hundreds of new merchants globally. During the campaign, app downloads and sales have increased, not explosively but still decent.

Around the first week of October the app will be updated, one of the main features added is the option to send RMT. Users will be able to send RMT out of their in-app account to any Stellar wallet address. They're also working on purchasing RMT in-app without it being used for a voucher purchase, but that's still in development.

They're also aiming to add more exhanges in the upcoming months.

Pros
  • SureRemit token (RMT) is built on the Stellar Network token RMT will be used to access vouchers and pay bills for targeted remittances. Digital transactions with the Remit coin can be completed in seconds regardless of where the sender and receiver are in the world. There are more mobile phones than there are people in the world. A mobile app can enable remittances to be sent and received instantly. Recipients can receive value via SMS or e-mail.
Cons
  • Senders have zero visibility into where and when their funds were used. The anonymity of cash makes diversion of funds and fraud easy. Lack of control over the use of funds is one of the major problem expressed by immigrants.
