First off, this is an incredible monitor when it comes to gaming. It blows my mind with picture quality, color, brightness and game environments that are much more realistic with depth and detail. Unfortunately, Samsung has made terrible choices when it comes to letting the person change the settings or the source used with the monitor. There are no buttons to turn on the monitor or switch the source port the monitor uses to access connected devices. There is only one button (joystick) you need to press to wake up the monitor and then move the joystick (up, down, left, right) to navigate the OSD menu at the bottom right. This means that just pressing a button to activate an action takes 3 seconds, instead it takes 10-12 or more seconds because until you really get to grips with the interface you'll be fumbling around to get the option you want, you are looking for. A remote control (like your HDTV) would be way better than a Samsung! Here's an example that I'm sure many players will be familiar with; I have an XBox One X, PS4 Pro and a gaming PC connected to this monitor. HDMI 1 is XBox, HDMI 2 is PS4 and Display Port is PC. (To be fair, if you only turn on one of these devices at a time, you don't have this problem - the monitor automatically detects which port has an input when it powers up and switches to that port.) The PC is on all the time. So when I want to use my XBox or PS4 and turn it on, I have to press the joystick (on the back of the monitor - bottom right) and wait for the OSD menu to appear. To go up they move left to the sources icon and then move the joystick down each time to move through 3 sources until I get HDMI 1 and then it takes 3-4 seconds to toggle and I see my XBox and can play. Then do the same when I'm done to return to my computer. While this isn't a deal breaker for the show, I removed 2 stars because I feel the lack of a quick and easy interface is a major disappointment and inconvenience to me. . A simple remote like an HDTV would be much easier or quicker as I could just press the source button down arrow to the source I want and select (while seeing exactly what I'm doing and pressing). I hope this review helps others but this is a really great monitor when it comes to gaming - love it!
