Review on High-Resolution Touch Screen Acer T272HL Bmjjz HDMI Monitor – 27 Inch WQHD Display by Marcus Hegie

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Superb touchscreen with large movement range, easy swipe and excellent sensitivity, ultra-sharp Full HD images in movies and video games!

I love this touch screen! I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I'm using it with a Velocity Micro Vector Z25 tower running Windows 8.1 (the Velocity Micro is great, with no bloatware and a super-fast SSD). Navigating Windows 8 with this touchscreen is incredibly easy. Sensitivity seems perfect and I can switch between screens with ease. Hi-Speed USB ports on the side easily recognize iPods, phones, etc. for charging and syncing with iTunes. Watch movies and play video games very clearly thanks to the high resolution of this monitor. I'm in a fairly shady area, but I've noticed that when there's a lot of sun, there's a lot of glare. Glare doesn't bother me much as I also use a plasma TV which also has glare so I get used to it and adapt. I don't use the monitor's built-in speaker, so I can't comment on the sound. I bought a set of Cerwin Vega XD3 desktop speakers with great sound and deep bass that are relatively cheap which I also bought through Revain based on the great reviews. The next part is something the manufacturer shouldn't include in the instructions, but should: When I took the monitor out of the box, the fold-out stand on the back was snug (it seems) against the back of the monitor. I'm assuming the company does this so it doesn't get damaged in transit, but there are no instructions on how to pull out the stand. After looking for a release button or something to unlock the stand (which I couldn't find), I decided to use some force to pull the stand away from the back of the monitor. I thought I would break the pole. I've tried moving the stand away from the back multiple times for fear of breaking the stand. But in the end I felt I had no choice and with great courage and strength I ripped the stand off the back of the monitor. You will hear a loud click as the stand releases from its locked position. It was very nerve wracking, but that's the way you do it, with brute force. In the free state, the monitor has a wide range of movement from 30 to 80 degrees for easy operation with a touch screen. It easily tilts either way with one hand on the top edge of the monitor and is held securely in place. I love this monitor, 5 stars!
