Review on Dell FR3PK 34 Inch LED Lit Monitor, 60Hz, Swivel & Tilt Adjustment, Anti-Glare Coating, USB Hub, U3417W, HD by Gary Aguilar

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great monitor, anti-glare, I would buy again.

I've only had it for a week, but so far it's amazing! This monitor replaces the HP ENVY 32" Quad-HD LED-backlit monitor and the 28" Viewsonic monitor. I don't recall the #1 model answering the #1 problem with IPS monitors, backlight flickering. Yes, there is a subtle glow in the lower left corner. That's how I found it. And I looked very closely at every corner. I noticed a very faint glow in the lower left corner. But every time the monitor is used, including high frames per second with dark scenes, I don't notice it. The monitor itself is great. I like the widescreen aspect. It's great for gaming, working (3 tables on 1 monitor!), video streaming, and general use. The curve is a little strange at first, but once you get used to it, you don't notice it. except for the frustration of using a different monitor. Business: Ideal for spreadsheets, reading documents, general browsing. Looks open, can read email on one side, open attachments or both, and I don't have to overlay what I'm seeing or switch between screens. Gaming: Great for gaming, but it's a big screen that demands attention. . When playing FPS games, you often have to look left/right to see the edges of the screen. Either that or you need to move the monitor farther away. General browsing: works great. You can have multiple pages if you like. I upload to YouTube and it's great to have Windows Explorer open for files, Chrome for uploading and controlling, and a second Chrome for browsing during the video process. I only used the speakers once to hear the quality. I have a Klipsch 2.1 system so my opinion shouldn't carry much weight. I think if you replace some of the cheap speakers that came with the pre built PC they will be better. If you personally use speakers a lot, especially for movies and gaming, buy something like Klipsch. $150 well spent. The stand is solid, easy to use, and offers a good range of settings to suit almost any situation. It was very easy to assemble. The panel doesn't weigh much and simply snaps into the stand. The stand consists of 2 parts and is rotated by hand. It took me about 10 minutes from opening the box to turning on the PC.
