Review on Dell FR3PK 34 Inch LED Lit Monitor, 60Hz, Swivel & Tilt Adjustment, Anti-Glare Coating, USB Hub, U3417W, HD by Sam Swickley

I don't usually review items, just personal preferences, but I feel I need to do so in this case for the Dell U3417W 1900R UltraSharp 34-inch Curved Monitor that I purchased. First of all thanks to Revain customer service. I received my original order for this monitor on April 21st 2017, two days after my ankle surgery so I was unable to open and install the monitor, I had to leave it in my living room for a little over 6 weeks before I could do it, because I couldn't walk for so long. The box was in very good condition upon delivery so I wasn't worried and it's a Dell monitor so I didn't think anything of it. Well finally I opened and set up my new monitor last Saturday 3rd June 2017 The monitor looked perfect there were no visual issues with it I was very happy to be able to plug it in after all this time but after I did it and turned it on I was devastated to see what was in the monitor in the lower left corner There was a crack (the only way to describe it) about three inches long. and root for it. Visual damage"nowhere" no, but inside the screen was torn. I called Revain in alarm because my opportunity to return the monitor expired on May 21, 2017. I explained my situation to the Revain customer service representative and was very pleasantly surprised at how understanding and helpful he was, as was the manager he interacted with. . They not only approved an exception to the monitor's return deadline of May 21, 2017, but also arranged for the monitor to be shipped and a replacement order for me. THANK YOU AMAZON FOR THE GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SUPPORT. I'M VERY GRATEFUL! Unfortunately, the replacement monitor wasn't supposed to go on sale until the end of June, but that didn't bother me. However, on Monday 5th June 2017 I noticed that it was ready to ship and received it today via FedEx. Incredible! Wow! TODAY I opened up the monitor, set it up and hooked it up to my system and it works BEAUTIFUL. Dell has done a really good job here. It's sharp and crisp edge to edge and EXTREMELY suitable for what I use it for, programming. I run all my virtual development environments here and my VMware guests are now running at a screen resolution of 3436 x 1327. There are no errors on the screen that I can find. I am very happy! In any case, Dell monitors are a good choice, but they are excellent.
