I have a U3415W and a U3417W with dual monitors, so I'll just comment on the differences. Two key differences: Less backlight blur on the U3417W. Most noticeable in a dark room when viewing dark content. For full-screen movies, the U3415W isn't the best choice. More curvature in U3417W. The U3415W is too flat for such a wide monitor.
