It's a great productivity tool. I just received the panel and spent half a day installing it as its size required rethinking my desk layout. Having such a useful UHD screen real estate without having to scale windows is just magic when it comes to my needs - professional video editing and photo editing. I'm not a gamer so won't comment on this usage, except that the refresh rate is probably not what a hardcore gamer is after deciding to invest in a panel like this. It's clearly intended as a productivity bar and it still shines in this app. I used two 27" HD widescreen panels before this beast arrived (yes, I'm a little late to the UHD party). This panel. A few pointers for potential buyers based on my experience. • You need a big table. I recommend a bare minimum of 30-36 inches from this panel for the best viewing experience. • The included stand is very stable but only offers tilt adjustment, however I don't see the need to put it on an adjustable arm for height adjustment Panel is heavy! • IPS panels of this size have edge shading that becomes less noticeable with distance, which is also part of the spacing requirements above • LG wants you to use the cables provided, which were fine in my application (using Displayport on my 1080TI graphics card). If you need longer cables, make sure they meet the required specification. • Color is very good after factory calibration. You will most likely turn the brightness down to around 80. The factory setting is 100, which will most likely cause the retina to spontaneously ignite in a dark room.• A remote control is included, which is nice, especially if you're running multiple video streams to this panel using the 5 available ports. Again, I've had quite a bit of time with this panel, but so far it's amazing. I've actually heard that people were shocked by the size of this monitor when they first saw it in person. Remember you are buying a YUUUUUUUUGE panel! Highly recommended for the job.
