Jammed and Unreliable; Wasted My Money

Thanks to my knowledge gained in practice, I could tell this tripod had design flaws. It jammed during rotation, making me miss shots, and has proved unreliable. The only positive aspect is that it supported my camera weight without tipping over. Unfortunately, that was not worth the frustration and money wasted on this poorly designed product.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction can support up to 17.6lbs of weight.
Cons
  • Wrinkled packaging

Great product!: camera and photo

I like the price and the ease of use. This is my first ball head so I have no comparison. I use it with my Panasonic G7 camera on a Manfrotto 3001 tripod. I was thinking of a more expensive ball head but decided to give it a try as the price is so low and the reviews are pretty good. I'm glad I went this route for what I want to do with it, which is everyday use. Maybe one day I will buy more expensive, but for now. this is exactly what i needed!

Great price, fits Gorillapod and Capture Clip

I bought this to use the Joby Gorillapod SLR zoom (now known as 5K). I use a Peak Design grip clamp on my camera and leave the plate on so I needed an Arca compatible ball head. I'm glad I did some research before buying the Joby because I saved about $60 and I love the features! I really enjoy taking portrait shots with the level on the platen lock knob. The construction feels solid and has been a little saggy so far, but I'll try to remember to update it as I hike and backpack with it more.

Pros
  • I hold my fists
Cons
  • Almost never
