Description of Optimized for SEO: Waterproof IP67 High Airflow 140mm (140x140x25) Fan by Coolerguys

ENVIRONMENTAL RESISTANCE: IP67 design technology allows this to be completely dustproof and waterproof (rated to be submerged up to 1m for 30min). HIGHER AIRFLOW/LOWER NOISE: Updated blade and motor designs allow this to put out 155 cubic feet per minute with a noise level of 44db. That's equivalent to the ambient noise of nighttime in the suburbs or a standard kitchen fridge. Padded corners help dampen any vibration noise when mounting. LONG LASTING: Dual ball bearings give a long projected lifespan of up to 67,000 hrs--that's over 7 years. Backed by manufacturer with a 3 year warranty. STANDARD CONNECTOR: Standard 3 pin native connector allows for easy adaptability with many systems. Contact us if you need to determine which is the positive, negative, or tachometer (speed sensor) wires as they're all painted black.

Waterproof and lightweight

Nice fan. Very light weight. Use it to vent my fridge on wheels. Attaches to top vent with cable ties. Waterproofing is a major reason I made the choice.

High CFM, high noise level.

LOTS of air. Very loud. It's like flying a quadrocopter. But for IP67 I agree. Now I'm wondering how well it will work in these situations (dust/water) even though it's not a fully closed system (gap between board and blade). I only use it as a bathroom fan.

Pros
  • The best in its niche
Cons
  • Expensive insurance

I have a VERY densely packed home server (Lian Li D600 chassis) with 32 3.5" drives and 8 2.5" drives -drives. " drives. The case has enough space for fans (6 on the back, 6 on the front, 2 on top, plus 8 more on the actual SAS backplanes), I'm still having temperature issues due to the high number of drives and issues with maintenance the temperature Below 53°C when the drives were under load I only ordered ONE of these fans, just trying to install it on the bottom of the three front 140mm…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Hard to say

Worked great - BUT I broke it!

was a bit confused figuring out which wire is positive and which wire is negative because it uses a connector I don't have a pair with. Then during the test, this knuckle hit the spinning blade with his knuckles and broke it! Luckily another device I bought at the same time solved my problem so I didn't have to order this one again. I was lucky and hit the blade at the right angle to break it without getting hurt - it could have been a lot worse.

Noticeably moves air

It's a bit small, but moves a lot of air. I may buy a second one as it was so easy to assemble. It only blows in one direction. I assumed it was reversible. It's also a bit noisy, but not too bad.

Works but can be improved

This fan, while not immediately affected by moisture, only lasted a few months of constant exposure to ultrasonic fog. Dissolved minerals in my water settled all over the fan and got into the motor causing it to seize up. The engine is not sealed well enough to avoid this problem. There aren't many waterproof fan options, so I may need to find a way to keep the fan from fogging up. I can buy it again.

Great fan. good company

Cooler Great support guys! Respond quickly and help. This fan is simple and consistent. The picture of the connection in the listing helps, even if what you get looks a little different. The first was very quiet and I'm working with them on the second to get rid of the slight hum. I'm using it in a solar powered system to extract hot air from a small chicken coop and it's reliable.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Camper Fan: Computers and Accessories

I used this on my old fiberglass camper and it's perfect! Hissing low hum/hum. It's a great exhaust fan that keeps the inside temperature down - not as good as an air conditioner, but not bad.
