Review on Optimized for SEO: Waterproof IP67 High Airflow 140mm (140x140x25) Fan by Coolerguys by Donnie King

Revainrating 4 out of 5

PLEASE READ FIRST: Big fan! Really squeezes the air! Just use finger guard and speed control

I have a VERY densely packed home server (Lian Li D600 chassis) with 32 3.5" drives and 8 2.5" drives -drives. " drives. The case has enough space for fans (6 on the back, 6 on the front, 2 on top, plus 8 more on the actual SAS backplanes), I'm still having temperature issues due to the high number of drives and issues with maintenance the temperature Below 53°C when the drives were under load I only ordered ONE of these fans, just trying to install it on the bottom of the three front 140mm fans for the drive bay and wow when this fan with about 70% was running The max temp in the drive chamber went from 53C to 49C with only 1 of these fans Pretty impressive Pros: Moves TONS of air, it's NOT a slow and quiet 1000RPM, it's a grumpy bouncer that mercilessly blows air out of you Expect performance and sound effects to match this airflow Cons: LOUD At 70% duty cycle, I can hang next to a server without special hearing protection To get and have your app close to you I suggest a good fan controller so you can adjust it to a comfortable volume. Other observations: The wheel hub seems to be a bit tighter. more forgiving than other 140mm fans I've used so your fan shrouds can touch the impeller just like mine. Before first use, check the gap between the impeller and the protective cover. I ended up bending the mounting feet on the fan shroud to add another 1 or 2mm of clearance. Finally. USE A FAN/FINGER GUARD. If you get tangled up in this fan and are lucky, the blades will hopefully snap before your fingers turn into wieners. what would have been a terrifying sight. assuming your eyes still work after the fragments of the broken blade fly to your face. We're talking about nothing but a Wes Craven movie here. FINGER/FAN PROTECTION!
