This block is very heavy and feels solid. It took me about an hour to assemble. My gripe is that, as another reviewer noted, the pre-drilled holes on the back of the unit are so close to the edge that it looks like the board is split when everything is tightened. I only have hairline cracks and I think it's still very stable, but you have to consider that. This would have been a good changing table but the quality control seemed very poor when our case was boxed. We had too many of a few items and not enough of a few others. We were able to find enough parts at home for everything to work, except for a seat belt (to keep the child from falling off the table) which was also missing from the box.
