Bumper tape of excellent quality!

Ordered 2 surge protectors for my ham radio salon. These are very good quality strips. They're metal, not cheap plastic. The sockets installed in the blocks are also of very good quality. These professional-quality protective strips also filter RF energy and dissipate electrical impulses away from sensitive electronic equipment. There is also a built-in circuit breaker to prevent overloads. As an electrician and an avid electronics enthusiast, I highly recommend these strips for your needs…

Best in class extension

My first impressions of this inexpensive Furman extension are: (1) Better than the average extension. (2) More durable than average, shouldn't wear out as quickly as average. (3) IT has solid metal construction. (4) Most strips don't provide conditions for performance, but this one does something with the power delivery, it seems to me from my past usage. This is not a grid air conditioner, but improves the power quality. Final comment: for the money this is the best outlet you can buy. You…

Professional quality: accessories and accessories

I'm a professional musician and I never plug my amps directly into the wall - I always use a surge protector. After the last one I bought from a computer store broke, I ordered this one. It's much better suited to gigging - solid metal construction, extra-long cord, and Furman's reputation for quality accessories. Great filtering - no hiss or anything from my amp. I also like that it's all black so it blends in with the scene better. I wish it was made in the USA too, but this one is very well…

Poor Electrical Noise Filter

I bought this to filter electrical noise but it actually INCREASES the overall noise. I verified this with the TriField EMI Noise Monitor. The noise straight from the outlet was about 76 mVpk and from Furman was about 84 mVpk. Based on the reviews it seems to help some people with audiophones etc so I'm wondering if it only focuses on 60kHz harmonics while this TriField meter measures something in the 10kHz to 10MHz range. This is a high performance surge protector. with 15ft cable. In that…

More than an extension. Exceeded all expectations by a mile.

I never thought a surge protector would hit me. In my office, my new amp/speakers suffered from a very low hum at higher volumes. I decided I would take two of them to try out a theory from the internet; Separate digital power devices from analog. Volume 1: Behringer A500 (feeds a pair of K-Bas Monoprice) and Schiit Magni 3 Volume 2: PC, Monitor, Schiit Modi 2 Not only is the hum mostly gone (barely audible, needs to be turned up to 11), but the amp is louder for legal reasons. I'm amazed these

Built like a tank, noise reduction, best quality

I bought this to protect my recording gear and computer and to remove background from my home recording studio. Furman manufactures professional equipment and is the standard for professional musicians and presenters. PROS: 1. It took the hum out of my guitars. The EMI and RFI filters really work by providing a low pass filter while removing noise.2. Heavy metal body. The sockets are very robust and durable. The power cord is very thick and well made.3. Unlike other unknown or generic brands…

Immediate results gone

I bought this for my MoFi player which was plugged into a new but cheap surge protector I had laying around. Before I switched to Furman I had hum issues which I attributed to my Yamaha HS5 powered studio monitors which I'm using as an intermediate stage until I get more powerful speakers and an amp but I'm not sure I need it. do it now so soon Immediately after replacing everything with these Furman surge protectors, I noticed immediate improvements. No more hum from poor grounding, no more…

How does that sound? ESP for DIGITAL installations

How you set up your system has a big impact on the bottom line. Here's a little-known tip for serious listeners: make sure you use separate strips for your source/DAC (which I'm assuming you're using a linear power supply since you're a serious user) from all your other components who switch power supplies . . Ideally, you shouldn't have components with switching power supplies, which is difficult these days. If all components have a linear power supply, you can place them all on the same…
