Inaccurate - test, measure and verify

Totally useless. Even when using reflective tape on various 60Hz power tools to test wildly different speeds, simply releasing the trigger and pulling within the recommended distances from the directions is sufficient. This is a really good laser cat toy.

Pros
  • Industrial and scientific
Cons
  • old

A bit difficult to use

Needs some practice to get stable readings but very satisfied for the price. I've used much more expensive ones that work better, but I believe it's accurate and the savings justify the inconvenience.

Pros
  • Rev counter
Cons
  • Very expensive

Inconsistently Best Tachometer

All sorts of crazy, nonsensical readings come up when I try to measure RPM on my treadmill. It eventually gets it right, but not before you have to deal with erroneous readings. If you don't have a good estimate of the measured RPM, it's useless.

Pros
  • Test, measure and verify
Cons
  • Only available in white
