Working but not perfect

More than less works as advertised. Some confusing instructions (e.g. when to connect the cable). As noted during setup, he warned that some programs might not be ported. Well, some of the possible crashes were transferred, some weren't (WordPerfect was the one that didn't let the program work, although many (all?) files were transferred but the program wouldn't run; I had to uninstall everything and install from the original disk ).

Pros
  • Computer and accessories
Cons
  • Everything fine

Worse than useless, best in Computers and Accessories

I was hoping that this would speed up the PC mover transfer from an old laptop to a new one, but although every computer has registered USB connections (installed a drivers on each), and while PC Mover looks for working USB 2.0 ports, it doesn't see its own Laplink cable connecting the two computers. Had to resort to much slower Wi-Fi for transfer - and returned the transfer cable from Revain as a DOA (I have no way of verifying if this is a cable defect or a software defect in PC Mover)

Pros
  • Cables and Connections
Cons
  • Price Piggy Bank

The easiest and fastest installation of a new computer!

OK, at first I was annoyed when I bought the cable, and then when I put it into operation a month later (after the return period expired), I realized that I also buy software got to ! BUT MY OH MY! WHAT THESE PEOPLE WERE GREAT! I waited 10 minutes on the first call, but after that I called 4 more times (the last time just to say thank you) I waited less than 2 minutes. Setting up my new computer Done! I didn't have to leave both computers with the geeks somewhere, it cost less than $100 and…

Worse Than Useless - Cables and Connections

I was hoping that this would speed up the transfer of PC Mover from an old laptop to a new one, but although every computer registered USB connections ( a install a bit of driver software on each), and while PC Mover looks for working USB 2.0 ports, PC Mover doesn't see a dedicated Laplink cable connecting the two computers. Had to resort to much slower Wi-Fi for transfer - and returned the transfer cable from Revain as a DOA (I have no way of verifying if this is a cable defect or a software…

  • You could have chosen a newer model

Required for Laplink, but Laplink may not be required

Cable worked fine but software did not install. The support was fantastic, they took over the computer, installed the patches and got Laplink up and running. In hindsight, I would have just moved the files and loaded the software onto a new computer instead of transferring them with Laplink - I keep my files in my documents folder, most of the software I use is subscription based so it's available online, and I had some problems transferring software that didn't download properly and had to be…

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • old
