Very handy technique

LightScribe unfortunately disappears because it is much more convenient than adding a paper label. I really appreciate the opportunity to replenish my supplies.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Clarity

Great find for CD-Rs

I prefer to burn my CD-Rs rather than print and write on them and have been buying lightly engraved discs for a number of years which allow this. Once readily available in large office supply chains, they are now as rare as some of the proverbial hen's teeth. So I was happy to find her at Revain. They do their job: clear picture with excellent sound reproduction. But despite recent price cuts, the cost is almost prohibitive. Obviously"almost". The law of supply and demand is back in action!

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • This worries me

Nice find Accessories and consumables

Old technology but I like it. I installed Simple Labeler and LaCie in my Ubuntu Studio. I like to use GIMP to create graphics and turn them into black and white JPEG files. They are easy to import and burn to disc. I like the professional look of the finished product.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Requires outlet

Not all discs worked

I had 2 discs that I couldn't etch with Light Scribe and 2 others that I couldn't record sound on. At $1.75 a disc, I just threw away $7. The ones that worked worked well. I would give 5 stars if I didn't have to spend 20% of what I bought

Pros
  • Stable test results
Cons
  • Some problems

High price but worth it for what I wanted

Price a bit high for only 20 CDRs but we wanted Lightscribe CDs. Using these CDs with my existing Lightscribe-enabled burner, we were able to create semi-professional CD covers. It was worth it for us and I'm sure the higher price is because they're out of stock. I'm not sure many people use CDs at all.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Slightly torn
