Disappointing Router, Avoid at All Costs

This router is an utter disappointment. Thanks to my knowledge gained in practice as a networking professional, I can confidently say that this device is not worth the investment. The touchscreen is clunky and often unresponsive, and the Gigabit speeds are subpar. The only positive aspect is the inclusion of eight Gigabit ports, but this is not enough to redeem the overall poor performance and frustrating interface. Save yourself the hassle and look elsewhere for superior router options.

Pros
  • Eight Gigabit Ports
Cons
  • Unresponsive touchscreen, subpar speeds.

A very powerful router.

This router was purchased to replace a border router and run BGP. It handles this well with around 400MB of traffic. I also run a dynamic address list of nearly 6,000 addresses that has little impact on the system. Normal CPU usage is less than 20%. Very happy with this product.

Pros
  • 1 year trial
Cons
  • Some bugs

This single device serves as the main router for our office, shop, home and manages traffic shaping and routing for our little WISP. We have some gigabit fiber lines from a local telecom company and we haven't had any bottlenecks with that guy yet. We have VPN connections between about 8 offices running at about gigabit speeds over WAN, we run The Dude's network monitoring server on this computer, and we have failover via a USB connected cellular modem. We use both 10Gb/s SFP+ ports to connect…

Pros
  • Handy Item
Cons
  • No Instructions
