later I've used this plus a cheap 6ft USB 3.0 to USB-C cable and it works great for the Quest link. Played Half Life Alyx and Bonework quite well. so far without delay. Can't speak for gaming and charging as my cheap cable can't do it on its own. I need to order an Anker cable to test this, I will update this review once this happens. Also, the cable is very thick, not very flexible. So I suggest using this with at least a 6 foot USB-C cable instead of a 3 foot cable.

I had two cheap 3ft USB extension cables between my Logitech C922 camera and they worked fine but were too short so I bought this one" active" USB extension. and replaced, and although the camera briefly showed a picture, it immediately turned itself off. Nothing I have tried will make this cable work. Goed back to shorter cheap cables and all worked fine. So the conclusion is that it either doesn't work with webcams, Logitech webcams, or it doesn't work at all. Packed and sent back.

Bought this to use with my furthest sensor in my 4 sensor configuration on my Oculus Rift. Now all 4 of my sensors are connected with USB 3.0. I had to replace the sensor as the one I had previously only supported USB 2.0 even on this cable. The active connector on the end is a bit bulky and the connector will come out when the wire is under tension, but when installed correctly the wire is not under tension and stays in. Like many of the reviews here, I received these specifically to extend the cable on my Oculus Rift. It worked about 80% of the time when used with it, but with a constant crackle in the audio and occasional glitches in the signal, which was enough for games like Beat Saber to have very weird crashes where the graphics would recover, but the game would remain a crash. . .
