It works just fine

Connection: red wire -> 5vBlack wire -> GNDWhite wire -> Pin 3Green wire -> Pin 2 Steps: 1. Add the library to the zip -Add file "Adafruit-Fingerprint-Sensor-Library-Master" in Arduino IDE.2. Run the "register" code from the example. Then open the serial monitor to save your Figur3 printouts. Upload code fingerprint to Arduino and start testing.

Pros
  • Availability
Cons
  • I have no particular complaints about it, everything is fine

Works with Adafruit's fingerprint library.

Item did not work. Follow the instructions to connect to Arduino. I know I did it right because the registry sketch goes through the first two steps (getting two fingerprints and converting). However, the next step fails with an unknown error. I even tried two different fingers to figure out the mismatch error. Vain. Contacted the seller and received no response. We will return the product and try something else. This is a sequel. Eventually the seller replied to me with a tech support contact.

Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Works with Windows: Computer Components

Despite the included document and demo software, it was a bit unclear how to connect the device to a PC to use the demo software (SynoDemo v2.7). After asking the question and stating that a USB to TTL cable is required (like the Adafruit 954), it took a while to get it working. Make sure the wires are connected as follows: red-red, black-black, green-white, white-green. In the demo software select "Normal Sensor" and the appropriate COM port (for definition see MMC "Computer Management") and…

Super easy for computers and accessories

Easy setup with Arduino. Only two digital pins are required to communicate with the Arduino. For starters, it uses the Adafruit library.
