All sockets are connected!

Product description misleading. The use of the term "semi-hot" was strange from the start, as it usually refers to sockets. But when asked by Revain, the manufacturer even stated that the front outputs are switched while the rear outputs are always on. Today I received my device. Confirms that all outlets are connected. The manual, which has a subtle touch of "English", even says "AC outlets on the back of the charger with EMI/RFI filter, surge protection and switching". (Note: the odd capital…

Pros
  • Compatible with 1U 2 or 4 post rackmount, includes detachable rackmount brackets, provides power distribution to previously unpowered areas away from power sources with an extended 15ft power cord
Cons
  • Interchangeable

Works, won't buy again

. I also liked the cable wrench idea. Arrived damaged, with left strut ear bent back about 30 degrees and chipped paint in several associated places. Styrofoam has melted on the power cord. Okay, these are mostly cosmetic issues that I can deal with. I was able to bend my ear back with a light push of two fingers. Wow. It's like 1/32" aluminum and not much stronger than a tin can lid. The unit cannot be rack mounted without flexing the ears as its own weight will flex the ears and the front of…

Pros
  • Built in front socket with switch, power switch in plastic cover. A built-in 15A circuit breaker prevents circuit overload from damaging hazardous equipment by disconnecting the AC input when the load draws too much current.
Cons
  • Minor issues

Beware! Quality control problems. And this is an electrical device!

When I first opened the box, the bracket on the left was severely bent, as if it had been dropped on a hard floor. This would not have happened during shipping but before it even got into the box. (The box was undamaged.) How could it not be caught? It was clearly visible. quality control! Second, it still wouldn't fit in the rack because the length between the holes in the bracket was a few millimeters shorter and it would be impossible to line them up. A few more customers said the same thing

Pros
  • 110/240V - for worldwide use. Optimized for reliable AC power distribution from a UPS system, generator or wall outlet, so you can control reliable power where you need it most.

Works, won't buy again

I bought this because of the USB power in the front, otherwise I would have chosen a better and cheaper Furman. I also liked the cable wrench idea. Arrived damaged, with left strut ear bent back about 30 degrees and chipped paint in several associated places. Styrofoam has melted on the power cord. • 3 widely spaced sockets on the front and 16 flexible power cord plugs on the back leaving room for power supplies and transformers. 4 USB ports to power all your favorite devices at the same time.
Cons
  • Expensive
