BIOS NOT compatible with 9th Gen

9100f board won't start - 5 beeps (and yes I'm using Crucial CT8G4DF8824A recommended memory) - not much of a choice, I'll either find and buy an older generation processor or return the board

Pros
  • . Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Hard to tell

So far, so good! best in computer components

My wife's 12 year old computer was on its last legs so it was time to put together something "new" using some old parts from previous projects. I added 16GB of DDR4 memory, a 256GB M.2 card, a 5 year old graphics card and an i5-8500 and it ran like a champ, absolutely no problem. Windows 10 found all system drivers and we are ready to go. We couldn't have asked for an easier or smoother job, especially for the price.

Pros
  • Everything is great!
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Nice little motherboard

It was very easy to assemble and install. I have an i5-9400, 16GB Corsair Vengance RAM and a WD SN500 NVMe SSD installed in the M.2 slot. I used the Windows Media Creation Tool to create Windows 1903 on a 16GB USB drive and it installed with no hiccups. No problems found. It just worked.

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • It's hard to remember but it was

No USB or fan headers but great price

Great price for a basic math motherboard. Xmp profile for 2666 RAM with i3 8100 processor Ideal for a workstation PROS1) Price2) Price3) I already mentioned the price CONS1) Lack of at least 2 USB 2.0 ports. I need a splitter to use the front USB 2.0 and my Bluetooth card. 2) Fan control seems limited to bios only. Only 1 system fan connector. TIPS Don't buy it to play with. spend more money

Pros
  • Motherboards
Cons
  • Expensive insurance

Gen9 compatible from factory

I upgraded an old X58 based i7 setup with this board and a new Core i5-9400F. I didn't encounter any of the problems mentioned in the posts about the board version other than 2.0. My large EGA 9800 graphics card with a 6-pin power cable worked fine in the PCIe 16 slot and didn't block the M:2 line. The board shipped with the latest BIOS and did not require an update to work with the 9th Gen 9400F. I've been building since 1994 and this was the easiest build ever. No problem.

Pros
  • Internal
Cons
  • Almost everything is there

Good price, Windows install driver issues (SOLVED)

This is a great value if you are building a simple gaming PC. Paired with an i5 9400-F, 16GB DDR4, 512GB NVMe and a Radeon RX 580. No problem, all hardware worked seamlessly together. However, if you're setting up a clean install of Windows 10 from a bootable USB, you might need to do a little fiddling to set it up. First, it took me a while to figure out that my 16GB USB drive would only boot on this board if formatted as FAT32, regardless of CSM mode or legacy USB support settings. This meant

overpriced crap, terrible support, service and experience

you get what you pay for. In this case that's not the point, it's rubbish, overpriced in my opinion. Fan performance flickers on and off. The power supply to the graphics card slot turns on and off intermittently. In other words, one minute your monitor is working and the next it isn't. The weather was not reported or not at the time of purchase, it was new or used, so when I bought it, received it and opened it, I noticed that some things were missing and it seems that the motherboard was…

Cons
  • infinitely sluggish
