In my experience it was a bit difficult for one person to assemble, but nothing overwhelming, instructions are ok. The 48 inch height was perfect for my 3 year old and he can reach a pretty decent height while jumping! Instructions do not describe exactly how it fits together including the legs, if I had set my child up as shown to assemble we would probably end up with ER as the legs would be bent under the jump pad instead of being pinned to the floor. Easy to assemble. I followed the video easily and put it together with my 15 year old daughter in about 40 minutes. My son has a lot of fun. He brings his toys and plays inside. We chose the 48" trampoline and so far it has been a perfect fit for our 6 year old. We were short on space and it was the right size for our needs. We only use it indoors on a mat. He has a gentle soul, so he hops in the middle without holding on to the frame and has never broken toys. So I assume this trampoline will last a while if used alone.
