Enclosure Type: Desktop. Subtype: KVM. Ports: 2 x KVM / audio / USB. 2-Port Dual Display DVI KVM switch with Audio and USB 2.0 Hub, Cables included. Quad-View Mode allows computers with three- or four-head video cards to share KVM, audio and USB peripherals by connecting two Dual Display KVM switches together. Built-in 2-Port USB 2.0 hub allows for the sharing of USB devices (flash drives, printer, etc.) amongst the connected computers. A powered USB hub may be connected to one of the USB ports to increase the number of connected peripherals. 3.5 mm Mini Stereo jacks provide Speaker (2.1 stereo sound) and Microphone support to the connected computers. Additional console audio jacks are conveniently located on the front panel of the KVM switch, making them ideal for use with IP phones. Switch between connected computers via front panel pushbuttons, keyboard hotkeys, and a function that allows for switching via your mouse's scroll wheel. Switch the KVM, USB, and Audio functionality all at the same time, or separately. KVM control can be fixed on one computer, while the USB 2.0 hub and/or Audio functionality is fixed on another.

Works great once it works - update!

Where do I start? I used to work in IT so let's just say I'm not new to computer technology. I work from home with my employer's Windows based HP laptop and a tarsus universal docking computer which is hardware/software limited and I also have a minimac for my personal hardware in my own office. I use two monitors for both setups. I wanted KVM to make it easier to switch when I wanted to use my stuff and not when I'm working, which employer setup requires. I did a little research on the switches before buying and I have to say luck played a part too (there were very few reviews for one such article). I really like this switcher, I'm a developer and have a dual install of Windows Tower/Macbook Pro that I have to switch between frequently depending on what I'm working on. I connected the DVI from the switch to the HDMI connectors on both machines and monitors, which worked fine. There are also some good cables included. Switching is pretty quick…

Can be configured to work with a wireless keyboard/mouse

I work in the same office and would like it will be able to use the same two monitors, wireless keyboard and mouse, printer and scanner. Now I got it for it, even though it doesn't officially support wireless keyboards and mice. I had an old Logitech keyboard and mouse, each with its own USB receiver. but I'm so glad I did

I currently have three systems: XP, a laptop with Windows 7, and Windows 10. This KVM is expensive for me and I've thought twice about buying it, but I'm so glad I did. I can switch between my systems without losing video resolution. My Windows 10 systems didn't have an HDMI video port, so I just plugged a separate VGA cable into the back of the monitor until I got a new graphics card for it. I can still use the same keyboard and mouse just by changing the input on my monitor. Only my laptop…

Basic functionality Everything works but needs a workaround for my systems

Does what it should. I can live with the following: * The Kinesis A2 keyboard was not working in the keyboard connector. I moved the keyboard connector to a switchable USB host/client port and it works fine there. This could mean that the keyboard method of switching between computers (dbl scroll lock) might not work, but since I always use the buttons on the Tripp Lite I'm not interested in trying (I always have the KVM buttons instead from the keyboard. Buyers beware - they are not voiding their warranty

Product will work well for the first year or so Plus I then started randomly disabling the mouse and keyboard all the time. When I contacted them to file a warranty claim, they passed the responsibility on to Revain, stating that the manufacturer's warranty was under their control and that Revain should file the claim on my behalf.
