an excellent monitor best batteries

that are encouraging to being able to control how much charge I've used and how much is left. My only issue with this monitor is that the screw connections on the back are very small and difficult to work with and one wire has already come loose. Otherwise a great monitor.

Great battery monitor

I have two batteries in my Aliner Ranger van. This is the best battery monitor. Not cheap but worth it. The ability to monitor total amp hour usage makes it better than a regular voltmeter. Some electrical knowledge useful for installation.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

This is my 4th Xantrex Lite monitor on 3 boats (one died after 4 years). This is a wonderful piece of equipment to help me maintain my many batteries on a sailboat and now two trawlers. The digital voltmeter shows me the exact state of charge (12.6 to 12.7 is the ideal resting voltage), the instantaneous current in amps so I can see which loads are drawing the most current from my batteries, and the total amp hours to do so when I am at anchor, I can determine in a few hours how much current is

  • practical item

good gauge. not isolated for EV use.

I bought this for my 200 volt DC system electric car. It needs a prescaler for high voltages, which I also got myself. One thing I didn't know is that you have to run it on an isolated 12 volt DC circuit. Unfortunately, the measuring device blew up due to a short circuit. If I had used an isolated DC power supply it would not have been damaged. Another issue is that I think it's overpriced for what it does. It cannot be calibrated to measure current. I ended up buying a $30 square meter that…

Very good product, a little less than perfect

LinkLite battery monitor installed on boat with two batteries. One bank is an AGM 31 group starter battery and the other bank is a house bank consisting of 2 AGM 8D. I never knew how much was left in the house bank until I installed this and that is the main reason I bought it. It is very useful and worth the money. As good as it is, I think they could make the device even better and more extensible. 1) It actually only controls one battery. (related to consumed ampere-hours and percent…
