Held up for 7months

It's last awhile but not even a year.Bought the boot Feb. 2017 and the top strapped tore off on Sept. 13 2017. Which is about months later . I wish the boot had latest at least a year. Then I wouldn't feel too bad about buying another boot.I love that the boot is easy to clean. I detached the lining from the boot and throw it in the washer with bleach.I've had another boot that was more difficult to wash because only part of the lining could be detached from the boot. The foam is still intact…

Pros
  • Poor quality straps
Cons
  • The brace is bulky and can be difficult to maneuver

Excellent price! in my review

The boot is good; I ordered it as a second one to the one I got at the hospital emergency room for my broken foot. That one has a toe protector in the front that moves up or down on a hinge; this one does not. However, I ordered it as a clean second one to sleep in, as I must wear it day and night for seven weeks. The price was excellent; the one I got in the ER was $250, I checked in a local medical supply store and they were $350! I was very happy with the quality and price of this one on…

Pros
  • Health & Household
Cons
  • It may not fit properly on individuals with larger feet

Developed loud "pop " with each step after less than one week

After wearing another aircast walking boot for 8 weeks, it developed a loud "pop" with each step. Extremely annoying. Knowing I had at least 2 more weeks, I ordered this one. Seven days later, it has also developed the loud "pop". I am seeing doctor on Monday, I pray I will not have to wear this any longer. I cannot afford to purchase a new boot. I am at home most of the day. I did nothing to either boot to cause the "pop".

Pros
  • ‎1.25 Kilograms
Cons
  • It can limit mobility and make it difficult to perform certain activities

Much Better Price Elsewhere

It is a great alternative / followup to the cast I started withbafter achilles tendon surgery. Later found a much better price at betterbraces.com when I was looking for replacement padding, which was also much better price than Ebay.

Pros
  • Medical Supplies & Equipment
Cons
  • The brace can be difficult to put on and take off without assistance.

-This boot is AWESOME CONS - This boot is not quite perfect 1

PROS:-This boot is AWESOMECONS- This boot is not quite perfect 1. The boot lacks a flap that wraps around your toes that is present in other boots of this nature that I've used. The result is your exposed toes, which in a Chicago winter results in slush in your socks. 2. This boot, unlike others that I've used requires a detachable pump tool to be carried at all times, instead of having the unit integrated into the boot, which would be much more preferred in my mind.

Pros
  • Provides added stability when walking or standing
Cons
  • It can be difficult to wear the brace with certain types of clothing

Great quality - my new review

This is identical to the one the ortho doctor gave me when I first injured my ankle a year ago. I have worn the thing down and it a falling apart from working in it so instead of paying $300 (haven't met my deductible yet) at the doctor again I checked Ebay and it was on sale for $40 at the time so now I have a perfect shiny new boot just in time for my second surgery! Best deal ever

Pros
  • Accommodates swelling or changes in foot size during healing process
Cons
  • The brace can be difficult to store when not in use

Great Product! - my new review

It did it's job, make sure the foot not in the boot is the same height as the boot when walking. In my case I developed a bulging disk which affected my hip, leg and ankle. You mustn't limp or wobble with a boot, it can bring other problems. Great product!

Pros
  • ‎Medium (Pack of 1)
Cons
  • The brace can cause skin irritation

Great walking boot!

My daughter needed a tall walking boot for a tibial stress fracture. Her high school athletic trainer loaned her this one. I ordered her a different kind and it was immediately awful and I had to return it. Then I bought this one, which I should have done from the beginning. She was in her boot for 7 weeks. It was starting to really show signs of wear at the end, in the padding by the toes, but it wasn't too bad. Although my daughter hated having to wear this boot, she needed a good boot, so…

Pros
  • The lightweight, semi-rigid shell has a pre-inflated anterior air cell and 2 adjustable air cells that can be individually inflated
Cons
  • The brace may not be effective for all types of foot injuries

I feel like half a storm trooper!

Seriously though, it's a great boot! I went from barely being able to walk to strutting around with no pain. It's been almost a week since spraining my ankle pretty bad and I was concerned about being able to go back to work next week. I work in construction so it's a rough job and this definitely will put me back to work immediately! At 1/4 the cost of the hospitals price, you can't beat it! Oh, also, the air technology, very cool. Reminds me of MJ Fox in Back to the Future 2 with his pump up…

Pros
  • ‎1
Cons
  • The brace can be difficult to clean properly

I had the same injury about 10 years ago and used what I thought was this boot. Turns out I had used the next step up from this one, the AirCast XP with 4 air cells. This one, the AirCast FP, has only 2 air cells and they are behind the ankle/leg only. There is not much padding on the front panel that you take off when you climb in and out of this model. It tends to compress my toes down, and they become numb after a little while, to the point where I have to loosen the toe strap for a bit. The

Worth The Cost good for me

I was recommended to buy this cast by my family physician after incurring an injury to the achilles tendon on my right foot. I have a large partial tear about 2 inches from the bottom of my heel, at the calcaneal insertion. It is extremely painful.Right now I am in a half cast and need to use crutches (UGH). However once I am out of this I will then need to wear this Aircast FP Walking Brace for 3-6 months. So I purchased the brace ahead of time so I would have it.I found this Aircast FP…

Pros
  • Ample room for dressings without sacrificing comfort; The low rocker sole promotes a natural ambulation for improved mobility
Cons
  • The foam may compress too much, causing the brace to lose its effectiveness

Orthopedist approved!

After an ankle injury my primary doctor told me that that my ankle was fractured (stable fracture) and would require a cast and to see an orthopedist. My appointment for the orthopedist was 5 days away so in the meantime I ordered this product and received it in less than 48 hours. The relief from pain was incredible.much better than my Ace Wrap. When I saw the orthopedist he told me to continue to wear it and schedule a follow up appointment!

Pros
  • Simplifies the rehabilitation process by promoting proper healing and reducing discomfort
Cons
  • The brace can restrict movements that are necessary for proper healing

Liner works its way down as you walk.

It's sturdy but needs to be slip resistant. The liner works its way down as you walk leaving the plastic stiff Velcro to tear up the back of your calf. I have to wrap an ace wrap around my calf to protect it and constantly pull up the liner. The Velcro wraps in the front can really hurt your shin if not adjusted carefully.

Pros
  • ‎2.01 Pounds
Cons
  • It can be uncomfortable to wear with socks or stockings

Great Walking Boot for the right price.

.My Doctor just saved me from buying the very expensive Boot that they have on their office on the day of my appointment but he point me to this direction with this product and I found it very easy to use comfortable and at a great price. 10 days of use and the product is holding together very well so as it holds the air on the chambers for long time.

Pros
  • Can be worn on either foot for added convenience
Cons
  • It can be difficult to wear the brace for long periods of time, such as during work or school

These were designed by a Canadian company and it shows. Unlike all the other pneumatic boots/walking casts out there (and I have tried every brand) these not only do not cause pain or drag heavily on the ankle joints (both of mine are broken)--they actually feel comfy and therapeutic. I can walk on these easily, they even help me balance, unlike the other brands which are precarious, made me unsteady and off balance, and hurt my hips. These also have much superior velcro that does not grab and…

Pros
  • Trusted by doctors and medical professionals for its effectiveness and ease of use
Cons
  • The brace may not be suitable for individuals who require a more customized or adjustable support

Injured - Get This Product

When people suffer a foot or ankle injury, doctors often prescribe similar braces, order them, and attempt to charge your insurance. Unfortunately, the suppliers charge considerably more for the same product. If you have a high deductible or copay, there's definitely an opportunity to save some money by buying this project, or one of the other available sizes, through Ebay.My mother purchased this product when she broke her foot, and it worked perfectly.

Pros
  • Fracture & Cast Boots
Cons
  • The foam may break down over time and lose its effectiveness

New walker for less than 1/2 the price

I needed to wear this for five months. The original became extremely dirty. I looked for the inner lining only, but was told by the brace shop in the hospital (and the DJO website) that I would have to buy an entire new brace. It would cost $175.This cost $59 - a significant savings for the name branded item. Now I can alternate braces and wash the liner.Look for my review of the liner, which SURPRISE, SURPRISE, WAS available on Ebay.

Pros
  • Includes a hand pump which allows you to adjust the padding to the desired level of support. Sealed air-cushioned heel
Cons
  • The brace can be expensive, making it inaccessible for some individuals

Great boot but couldn't use after a few weeks

First, I had an injury where I wish I had overnighted the boot. Instead, I used standard shipping. Don't make my mistake! Once I received the boot, I was able to immobilize the injured foot completely and it worked nicely, with orthotics, for a few weeks. However, as my already-small calf lost muscle, I had to pull the straps tighter and then add more air compression to each side, varying on the day. At some point, it just began sliding down as I held my leg up while using crutches. If I added…

Pros
  • ‎16.8 x 10.8 x 4.9 inches
Cons
  • The brace can be difficult to adjust properly as the foot heals

Broke after 3 weeks

I have been wearing the boot for 3 weeks and only doing light walking when I have to. After 2 weeks of wearing it, all of the small velcro pieces that hold the liner in place had come off. Then at the 3 week mark, the velcro strap over the foot completely ripped off and cannot be fixed. At this point, only duct tape is holding it together until I can get a new one.

Pros
  • Provides optimal protection and support for the foot and ankle
Cons
  • It can be difficult to find the right size and fit

Well ok I don't "love" it, being a large and cumbersome walking boot, but it was by far the best boot to wear while having to work 12 hours on my feet without breaks. This boot also is easier to clean than some of the black neoprene ones, and feels lighter. I was easily able to get the blood splatter and diarrhea off. (Disclosure: I am a vet tech, pets rip out catheters and have diarrhea. It's not my blood or diarrhea. Promise.) The super-inflato pods inside help make the boot fit nice…

Pros
  • The Aircast FP Walker Brace is the ideal solution for those who recovering from injury while preserving your mobility
Cons
  • The brace can be difficult to wear with certain types of shoes.
