Great for lower injury that requires less cushion.

This boot is great light weight and kinda cool looking. I however have to return it. It is great for someone with a foot or lower ankle injury. I did not realize this model only had the air bladders on the sides of the ankles. With a shattered tibia and fibula with a rod and plate fixation it was just not adequate in padding the shin and therefore made it painful to use. However I will be ordering the much more expensive elite model as the boot from the surgeon is just way to big now that my…

The best feature of this walking cast is that it has .

When I cracked my ankle again I needed to replace my old walking cast. This was exactly what I needed and it is the same as what my Podiatrist sells at his office. The best feature of this walking cast is that it has a low profile sole. This means that you can wear a normal style sneaker or walking shoe on the other shoe. This feature is a Big deal since it reduces the stress on the hips and back fro I wear a women's size 8 shoe and the medium fit fine.

  • ‎DJO Global
Cons
  • It can cause discomfort when sitting or laying down.

Recommend by my surgeon

Fantastic boot for sure. I broke my leg in 2 places and had to have 9 pins and a plate in it. My surgeon told me to get a boot for after my stitches were out. After reading so many reviews I chose this one.I chose right. My surgeon was so pleased with this and at a fraction of the price it would be if I got it from his office.I don’t have to pump it up all the time but it is nice to be able to do both sides instead of a pump dedicated to just the whole boot. One side of my leg/ankle hurts worse

Pros
  • Customizable air cells offer variable compression and support options
Cons
  • It may not be suitable for individuals with poor balance

It works perfectly on my review.

I broke my foot and was put in a short pneumatic boot. Because I’m tall, the boot was hurting my calf. So I purchased this boot. This boot is perfect. It came new in great condition and works great as well. It comes with an air pump so you can add air to the sides. As much or little air as you want.

Pros
  • Leg & Foot Supports
Cons
  • It may not provide enough support for some individuals.

Several years ago I had to wear a short ortho boot when I broke the tiny bones in the top of my foot. I was given an Aircast short boot by my foot doctor. This Winter I broke my ankle on the ice. The first couple of months I needed casts and the leg was non weight bearing. Then my doc switched me to an ortho boot. Boy, that thing hurt the incision site on the inside of my ankle! When I looked at that boot I found that it had a metal buckle to hold one of the Velcro straps on the inside of the…

Nice to have a second one

First one was fitted by a technician at the clinic I went to for an ankle injury. Ordered this to shower in, and to serve as a clean one to sleep in. Also got a second liner and a roll of tubular bandage (Tubi Grip) for the same reason. Rated 5 for comfort, relative to the temporary splint I had for a couple of days, 5 for value compared to what a hospital charges, and 5 for sturdiness because it's a big hunk of plastic that will surely outlast my need for it.

Pros
  • ‎Aircast
Cons
  • It can be awkward to move around in the brace

Worked great- excellent price

I fell late at night on the one ice patch that remained after a melt. My other foot was on solid ground and didn't give. It resulted in a broken fibula and bad ankle. sprain. Realizing I would have to be immobilized a couple of months I got on line and ordered this. It came a couple of days late due a blizzard which conveniently arrived right after I broke my leg. The splint the orthopedist wanted to sell me costs twice as much and didn't have the air bladders which are very handy for…

Pros
  • Breathable materials prevent sweat buildup and promote comfort
Cons
  • The brace may not provide enough ankle support

Excellent Brace to Immobilize Ankle

This is a very good brace for fractures of the foot, ankle sprains or even ankle fractures after the cast is removed. It does not completely immobilize the ankle joint but comes very close. Something similar at a durable medical equipment store will be in $200 range. The bulb for air cells is separate, so is easy to lose, and I wish this brace had a built-in air pump. If you do not need to immobilize ankle and have just the foot fracture - like metatarsal bone - then go for Short Cam Walker…

Pros
  • Can help prevent re-injury by limiting movement and providing support
Cons
  • It may not be suitable for individuals with certain foot or leg injuries

Comfortable support

This aircast is great to wear when I need to stand a long time. It is comfortable and supports my foot ankle. You can customize the level of support by inflating the air bladders on each side. It’s easy to put on and off. It’s sturdy and the heel is slightly elevated.

Pros
  • Clinically proven to effectively aid in the healing process
Cons
  • It may not be suitable for individuals with poor skin integrity
