GG Grand General 84041 Light Bulb (1157 Blue Glass) Review

These were bought for my 2018 street slip and work as hoped. Although I only left them after a week, I then decided to buy a full-fledged LED socket. But as a last resort I leave them as backups.

They are very bright, they match my 85 Monte Carlo taillights perfectly, I bought red bulbs, they are much brighter on red lenses than white/clear ones. Upgraded from 5 stars to 1, one of the bulbs has already burned out. In one day.

Used this bulb on a small scooter. He replaced the clear brake light bulb which should now be red as the brake light lens fades in the sun. Nice, bright and saved me money on a new lens!

So the list looks like a pretty expensive lightbulb. But I needed 2 so I ordered 2. But I got 4. As the listing says 1 but when it comes to the cart there is a tiny 2 with a circle around it. I guess I should have known what the number 2 means? In any case, the price is still very fair, and the cost of extras is still less than gas and the time it takes to go to the parts store. Maybe that's why Revain is killing small businesses. Oops!

They fit great and are very light in my '72 Gran Torino. The old ones were just see-through bulbs that were very dim with the lens covers closed. I put silver high-temp tape on the white-painted reflectors, which probably helped, but having real red bulbs behind red lenses always looks better. They look like red lightbulbs, not actually red glass, but they were good quality. They also came 2 in a pack which was just what I needed.
