Poor electrical design

This connector was very difficult to use. I would like to speak to the designer. It took me half an hour to position the lamp wires correctly and the metal blades to insert the yellow latch that holds them in place.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Some small things

The hardest flashing project ever!

I struggled for over 30 minutes to get the wire pins into the connector properly and finally gave up. The Home Depot plug was too big for my old wall clock, so despite some negative reviews I went with this one. I have reinstalled many devices in the past and this was the most frustrating project ever. Trust me, it's not your ability, it's your plug.

Pros
  • handy thing
Cons
  • The list is getting long.

The construction is not very good

The two metal pins are independent and difficult to put back after connecting the wires. Also, there's no strain relief to prevent the power cord from being yanked out, and I had to search ship knots online to find one to use as a makeshift holder. Next time I'll do something like https://smile. amazon.com/GE-52160-Heavy-Polarized-Metal/dp/B002DN89X2/ or https://smile.amazon.com/Leviton-115PR-Heavy-Non-Polarized-Electrical/dp/B000FPDKXO/

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • There are defects

The instruction will surely increase the rating.

Bought to replace an old worn out fork on a still good table lamp. After installation, the connector works well. I pulled to see if it was assembled well. Don't be afraid to unplug the plug or cord. The hardest part was figuring out how to install. I used a hook through the neck of the fork to pry the yellow piece of plastic out. Once outside I was able to easily undo the screws and reattach the wires with no problems. Reinstall the pins, then replace the yellow part.

Pros
  • GOLS certificate
Cons
  • Negative impression

Love the look Best in Electrical

Very stylish! A round cord entry is a poor choice for lamp cords, which are typically flat. There are no instructions included so you'll have to figure out how to properly attach the wires. The metal pins are not connected to each other, which makes everything that follows extremely cumbersome. Worse, I found it impossible to assemble the connector once the wires were attached to the metal pins, despite the connector's semi-flexible body attempting to accommodate the bulkier pins. I spent an…

  • Some bugs

Great plugin for this particular project.

I needed a black/non polarized plug to restore an old drill. This connector has the "look" that I wanted. The connector has a very dull, flat black finish. Use a small screwdriver to pop out the yellow retention plug, allowing you to remove the two metal contacts. The body of the plug does not pinch the cords in any way - under no circumstances should you pull on the cords to remove the plug from the outlet. Each pin has a screw that you can use to secure the cable connection. Revain's price…
