Don't buy this pitcher!

This product brings the Rubbermaid name to shame. The red lid is too small for the jug and will fall off when you pour liquid from the jug. I will never buy a Rubbermaid pitcher again without trying it out personally. This one goes to the thrift store's fundraiser. Has Rubbermaid Fired Its Best Designers?

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • So far so good

I use this pancake batter!

An excellent pitcher in its size class. Bought for kneading pancakes "bowl". I mix by hand with a spatula so the high mixing capacity reduces splashing. And the handy spout makes for a nice adjustable flow, and with the handle it's perfect for my needs. In my opinion Rubbermaid makes quality kitchen products and this pitcher is no exception.

  • handy thing

Great for pouched mixed drinks

I use this for the Crystal Light because it holds about as much water as you need to make a Crystal Light pitcher. This glass has served me for years with minimal discoloration and shrinkage, although I don't treat it well. If you want a cheap, no-frills jug I totally recommend this one. I love that the lid can be easily rotated to close the jug, release liquid through a series of slots to hold ice, or release liquid or through a hole.

Pros
  • Good Thing
Cons
  • Sad Accessory

Cheap and simple

There are several things I like about this jug. It's very inexpensive. It's the perfect size, just over 2 liters. It fits right under the water dispenser in the fridge. It goes in the dishwasher with no problems. The only criticism is that it gets dirty quickly. We mainly use it for iced tea and as you can see in the picture after a few months it has turned an unsightly brown color that cannot be washed off. For the price I would definitely buy it again, just can't use it at a party!

Pros
  • 2.25 liter capacity
Cons
  • Something different

Good pitcher! the best of decanters and jugs

It was difficult to choose a jug online but I got a great one! I make a lot of crystal clear fruit punch and the red color never sticks to the plastic of the pitcher! Easy to clean, lid holds up great! I've had other steins over the years and have had to hold the lid while pouring, but not this one! The pitcher is high enough so that the liquid doesn't spill out. It may be as tall as the other pitchers, I don't know, but I know I had no trouble pouring this pitcher! Great pitcher!

Pros
  • Handle for easy lifting and pouring
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Great item for kitchen and dining room

I think this pitcher was exactly what I expected from a pitcher. There's nothing quirky, super fancy, or industry-changing about it; I want the pitcher to be just that. The lid fits snugly, but is easy to remove. The handle is comfortable and holds the jug securely even when the jug is full. Someone with severe arthritis will find this mug perfect for them. There are little "friction" tabs that help keep the lid tight, and the trick with the lid is not just twisting it, but raising it, twisting

Pros
  • Pitcher
Cons
  • Some bugs
