It worked great - too great!

Works as well as you would expect from a newbie. Be sure to check out YouTube to better understand how this method works to ensure the best first-time turnout. I made the mistake of mixing all the epoxy at once so I couldn't apply as much as I wanted as all the epoxy started to harden fairly quickly. I can add a second layer for reinforcement as only one layer is brittle. In general I am very satisfied. Be careful with carbon as it can disintegrate on you if mishandled. I used masking tape to…

cheap but you get what you pay for.

This works, but the carbon weave is much weaker than Gorilla Carbon and other kits I've used to fix other broken bike frames. A loose weave makes it difficult to obtain a good wrap without loose strands or distortion of the spacing between the weaves. The 1-1 epoxy/hardener mix did not give a quick tack that allowed each coat to adhere to the previous coat. I've had the most success holding the bandage together with gloved hands and then squeezing it firmly with tape to allow it to set. work…

Good product, handy for repairing and building projects.

Carbon fiber and epoxy worked well for my repair of various damaged sports equipment (bike frame, kayak propeller shaft). Epoxy resin should be mixed in a volume ratio of 1:1. Without an easy way to measure small volumes, it's convenient to mix small amounts of epoxy resin by weight using a small kitchen scale, but I've found that the resin is significantly more dense than the hardener, so the volume won't be accurate if you Mix 1:1 by weight. Weight. I have calculated that the density of the…
